What happens during my first visit?

You may be quite nervous about visiting a chiropractor, but there really is no need to worry. Your chiropractor will take time to ask questions about your condition, to get to the bottom of why you are in discomfort and to ensure you both know exactly what needs to be done to alleviate your pain.

Following this, your chiropractor will want to examine you to see how much movement you have, the situation with your joints and muscles, and to perform some further tests to look at the function of your nervous system and general health. If you need an x-ray, your chiropractor will know this and decide how best to proceed.

Following the examination, you will be given a report of findings to let you know exactly what has been found, how best to treat it,how long it will take and how this will be done.

You will also be able to ask questions to ensure that you fully understand, please don’t be afraid to ask!

You may receive treatment on your first visit.

Would you like a free back check? We have chiropractors in two locations in London successfully treating bad backs, neck pain, headaches and migraines. Chir

Mr James Power

  English, French

Owner & Principal Chiropractor

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, I attended the  in Bournemouth, Dorset where I successfully completed a Masters Degree in Chiropractic.

Being a keen long distance runner participating in 3-4 marathons a year, I first encountered the power of chiropractic after being treated by chiropractor for ankle injury. The natural philosophy and effective treatment techniques behind chiropractic inspired me to become a part of this dynamic profession.

During my five years at the A.E.C.C modules included exercise rehabilitation, neurology, biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and therapeutic massage. My final year of internship at the AECC I furthered my knowledge and skills with post-graduate studies in Graston Technique, paediatrics and pregnancy.

Kingston: The newly established  in Kingston-Upon Thames caters for members & non-members of . Opened in August 2012, this new  sports injuries & family clinic provides a full range of professional health services tailored for the local community. I have a great team of therapists working at the clinic, so why not drop by and check it out!

Deloitte: I am the official Chiropractor to employees, team members and partners at their Head Office based in the City, Stone Cutter Court (near fleet street). Check out my website for more information

I primarily use manipulation of the spinal and peripheral joints combined with a variety of modalities including, for example, soft tissue techniques, rehabilitative stretches and exercises.  For each patient my aim is to help repair, stabilise and maintain an optimal neuro-musculoskeletal system and to improve overall health and lifestyle. I am strong advocate of treating the cause of a problem, not just the symptoms.

I’m passionate about my work and believe that everyone and anyone can benefit from receiving chiropractic treatment whatever their age or condition.  The health of my patients is of the utmost importance to me; I always encourage a preventative approach and regularly refer to other health professionals where necessary.

A healthy spine and nervous system should be regarded as being as important as regular exercise and good nutrition.

Mr Tom Palmer

Associate Chiropractor

I first became aware of chiropractic and the benefits to be gained from it after being treated for a sports injury during by early teens. However it was not until by father sought treatment for severe low back pain and I could see the clear improvements he made with his course of treatment that I knew this was the career path I wanted to pursue.

I spent four busy and very enjoyable years at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth studying for my Master of Chiropractic degree, which I gained with Merit.

I have treated patients with numerous conditions and patients of all ages from 8 days old to 80 years old and also worked with a variety of sports teams including semi-professional football teams.

Personally I enjoy keeping active whether it be playing football, golf or just heading out for a run. During the winter months I also try to take the opportunity to hit the slopes either on skis or my snowboard.
