I made a good choice choosing Wigan Family Chiropractic Hospital. I was having problems with my back and neck, they were aching all the time. My back and neck are much better after seeing Dr Mike. The staff at Wigan Family Chiropractic Hospital are all so friendly and helpful in every way. You feel at ease going there. I was struggling to take a bath, not being able to get out without my husband's help. I can manage by myself now and having independence has made me feel much better. I would recommend The Wigan Family Chiropractic Hospital to my family and friends as they are excellent in the work they do and are very friendly and helpful people.

Chiropractic treatment involves safe, often gentle, specific movements, done by hand, (called adjustments) to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. Most often this requires a short thrust to a joint that can result in an audible ‘crack’ and may bring relief to symptoms as well as an increased feeling of well-being. The ‘crack’ is simply the sound of bubbles of gas popping in the fluid of the joint as the pressure is released. Will it hurt? Chiropractic adjustments are generally painless, however, if you are in a lot of pain, the movement involved can cause some discomfort. Your chiropractor will discuss what they are doing as they do it, and will ask for feedback from you. If something feels too painful, they will use a different technique to ensure your comfort at all times.
