Your chiropractor will consult with you in confidence, asking detailed questions relating to your present complaint, past history and lifestyle. You will have the time to provide him with all relevant information. Your area of complaint, entire spine and posture will be examined thoroughly using neurological, orthopaedic and physical tests. The chiropractor uses specialised palpatory techniques which will note changes in your muscle tone and joint movement patterns. These motion tests are also carried out before each treatment to evaluate your progress. If necessary you will be x-rayed or referred for MRI. I attended the clinic due to increasing levels of pain in back, hip and knee and reduced mobility and reduction in just enjoying life. The whole team are very professional in approach. From first contact everything was explained, there were no surprises, a smooth process from assessment, treatment plan proposed, delivery of the treatment plan + homework in the form of exercises to do at home. The cost was explained from the beginning and there are payment options. My pain levels and mobility have improved after a month, sleep pattern improved and on fewer painkillers. Have returned to swimming which I love. The appointments were worked around my employment schedule. I was surprised the assessment went beyond my presenting issue with a letter for my GP to check something out. Over the years I have spent money on different shoes and trainers I thought would make a difference and various vitamins etc, over the counter creams, personal trainers. I wished I had come to the clinic years ago - A real pearl found on a beach.

First of all, you have the wrong address for Farrell Physiotherapy. They are at The Old Coal Yard off the Braintree Road on the edge of Chelmsford. Mr Farrell put me totally at ease, treated me as an intelligent person, explained he was sure pain wasn’t originating in the artificial knee but from lumbar spine. Suggested exercises which “must not hurt be gentle and build up slowly”. Then sent them by email to me. Will be seeing him again this coming Friday ie two weeks from first appointment. Extremely good value financially. Originally chose because wrong online address was that of my GP surgery.
