About Blandford Chiropractic Clinic

With clinics in Ashley Cross, Poole & Blandford we have been helping the conurbation of Dorset since 1994. Back In Form Chiropractic Clinics aim to seek out the cause of your pain “from the head down, the ground up and inside out“.

An experienced professional approach to healthcare. A whole body treatment that’s specific every time you visit.

At Back In Form Chiropractic Clinics we use a functional neurological approach as most issues that cause postural strain, weakness and pain come from the relationship between the brain and the body. If you fail to address this imbalance your problem will keep returning. We use specific testing to enhance and balance the reflexes that control you. This helps rebalance muscles and improve joint function while reducing pain. When Combined with our excellent Sports Massage you’ll soon be getting the best care possible.

Our aim is to help you recover as quickly as possible for as long as possible. We aim to get good results by looking at the whole body from day one, not just the area of pain. You will get advice to help overcome and prevent your problem. We’ve been doing this successfully for over 23 years.

If you aren’t sure about coming for treatment give the clinic a call and we will be happy to spend some time finding out about your problems and seeing if it’s something we can help with. Then you can decide if Back In Form Chiropractic sounds right for you, and there’s no charge for this.

Mrs Karen Oldale

Job Title:
  Practice Director
Specialisations:
  Chiropractic, Acupuncture
Languages:
  English
Biography:
Karen graduated from the AECC in 2006 with distinction after her biology degree at the University of Newcastle -upon Tyne. She followed this up with a postgraduate certificate in Chiropractic practice. She is currently going from partner at Blandford Chiropractic Clinic to its owner. In addition to that Karen has successfully joined the practice here at Back In Form since 2015. Karen has always aimed to be at the top of her game in all things she does. She too is interested in functional neurology, has skills in dealing with sports injuries, dizzyness, nutrition and children’s issues. In her spare time Karen is a very competitive Dinghy sailor and is often seen studying the weather reports to see if its windy enough for her RS200 racing or if it’s really blowing, kite-surfing. In 2016 she won the RS500 Nationals and placed well in the endeavour trophy for the national champions. She was also in the first all girl boat in the RS200 Nationals in Mounts Bay. In the winter it’s the snow reports for powder that take up her attention, after her patients have been fixed of course! If you need a pre-season skiing programme, she’s your girl. In addition to this she likes to get on “Sparky” her mountain bike to wind down from playing netball! So she knows how to keep you active and well.

Biography:
I’ve been aware of Chiropractic from an early age when I saw how it helped my grandmother manage her migraine headaches. I’ve been a Chiropractor now for over 23 years, graduating in 1994. I worked in Kent for a year before joining Graham Heale in Hertfordshire where I built on my training for the next 5 years. In 1999 I moved to Poole. I like to keep updated with developments in Chiropractic and also general medicine as well. All health professions are constantly evolving and developing and Chiropractic is one of them. There have been many changes in approach over my career and I have developed into a better physician by adapting my practice to reflect this. I firmly believe that Chiropractic’s potential for Sports performance is under developed and have a keen interest in helping athletes perform at their true potential. Being an amateur Triathlete has helped my knowledge of sports training immensely (read my triathlon story here). The thing that I like most about it is how it can instantly restore strength to functionally weak muscles. It’s great fun demonstrating the instantaneous response to patients. Especially if they are a little sceptical and see us as the last resort. I am also developing a growing enthusiasm for the use of specialist neurological tests to help balance the activity of the brain following whiplash type injuries. In my opinion Chiropractic and targeted active rehabilitation should be the first port of call when you have symptoms. Everyone has some joints that aren’t working well, catch it early soon after injury and we can help you stay active, flexible and healthier. Then you can stay fit and healthy for longer in your life. You don’t want to be the average person who lives to 81 but has 18 years of poor health. You want to be the one who lives to 95 and has only 1 or 2 years of bad health. We can help you as part of that lifestyle choice to be healthier. You’ve got one life, you really need to live it well.
