Sebastian

Dr Sebastian Vernaille

Biography:
Since I can remember, I have always wanted to be in healthcare. To facilitate my entrance into Murdoch University, I undertook 12 months of sports and biomechanical studies at Edith Cowan University. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and then was ecstatic to find that my application to study chiropractic was successful! During my third year of study to be a chiropractor I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to fly to Durban South Africa for a month where I treated professional surfers on a World Champion tour. Throughout the course I thrived on treating athletes at rugby tournaments, volleyball competitions and any other events I could be a part of. In my final year of study I was one of two students to be flown to the USA to take part in a two week scholarship working alongside trainers and physical therapists treating professional baseball players for the major league team the Seattle Mariners! After graduating in 2007 I have continued to revel in providing health care from my clinic. My passion for chiropractic is fuelled every time I help someone to achieve the freedom that comes from being well. You’ll find I’m friendly and easy going and I look forward to helping you achieve wellness! Yours in health
Kim

Dr Kim Prater

Biography:
From a young age I was heavily involved in Surf Life Saving, competing in regional, state and national levels. Due to the amount of sport I was doing I sustained a vast array of sports related injuries, the most chronic of which being a recurrent hamstring strain. My mother took me to see a number of health care professionals with limited success. It wasn’t until I was taken to see a chiropractor, who not only addressed the hamstring tear itself, but also my alignment, biomechanical and core stability issues, did I see any significant results. Seeing the potential chiropractic care had on increasing sporting performance and injury prevention first hand inspired me to pursue a career in chiropractic. To fulfil this I studied at Murdoch School of Chiropractic for 5 years and graduated with distinction. During my time at university I attended a number of extra-curricular courses and seminars to expand my knowledge and skill base including Certificate III and IV in Personal Training, Certification in Dry Needling and a number of paediatric, neurological and nutritional seminars. To me, chiropractic care extends further than the chiropractic adjustment. I believe that soft tissue, nutritional and emotional issues must also be addressed for optimal health to be achieved. I am passionate, energetic and dedicated and I look forward to working with you at Biotune to achieve your own personal health goals.
Valentin

Dr Valentin Payet

Biography:
As a child I played volley-ball competitively representing my homeland of the Reunion Island in various national competitions in France. During my teenage years I noticed a lot of my team mates battled with injuries and I was always fascinated by the attention and care they received from the medical staff. I always knew I wanted to help people on their journey to health. At 18 I started studying medicine and even though I enjoyed discovering all the wonders of the human body, I still felt like something was missing. At 19 I dropped everything and came to Australia to study Chiropractic at Murdoch University. From the first lecture I knew that I was in the right place! After 5 years of study, I am more motivated now than ever before to help people achieve a greater state of health in a safe way. I believe health is a system that needs all aspects to be working in synergy. Chiropractic extends beyond treating injuries – it helps maintain optimal function. I look forward to working with you so we can achieve that together.
