Dr Michael Simpson

Biography:
Specialises in soft tissue and repetitive strain injury (RSI), acute and chronic sports injuries, exercise rehabilitation and sports conditioning. Dr Simpson achieves this by advocating a whole body approach in assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. This allows him to isolate and correct the underlying cause of injury. Dr Michael Simpson is a full body certified Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.®) Provider. Active Release ® is a medically patented technique for “breaking up” soft tissue adhesions. The soft tissue in your body connects, supports or surrounds other structures and organs of the body that are not bone. Soft tissue includes tendons, ligaments, fascia, muscles, nerves and the like. The body is better prepared to repair and replace itself with healthy tissue through the reduction of adhesions, using specific exercises and stretches. Dr Michael Simpson is a Sydney Chiropractor who has extensive experience with athletes and has a long history with sport. He is currently Head of Sports Medicine for Lindfield Rugby Union Club. Dr Simpson also played baseball at a representative level for 10 years. He currently participates and competes in ocean swimming, distance running and trains in CrossFit and power lifting.
