Dr. Salloum is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with over 20 years of practice in cardiovascular medicine, spanning cardiac surgery, cardiac intensive care, and general cardiology. His broad clinical background allows him to offer a comprehensive and well-rounded approach to the diagnosis and management of complex heart conditions.
In 2016, Dr. Salloum was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist, with a special interest in Heart Failure, Valve Disease, and advanced Cardiac Imaging. His expertise includes Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, echocardiography, and stress echocardiography, alongside the management of common cardiac conditions such as angina, hypertension, and palpitations.
Dr. Salloum completed his cardiology training at several prestigious UK university hospitals. He spent over two years at Southampton University Hospital, specialising in cardiac intensive care and post-cardiac surgery management. He then undertook 18 months at Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, including one year in cardiac surgery and six months of advanced heart failure training, with exposure to pre- and post-heart transplant care.
He went on to complete more than three years of general cardiology and advanced imaging training at Oxford University Hospital (John Radcliffe Hospital), where he focused on echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and cardiac CT. Following this, Dr. Salloum completed a two-year fellowship at The Royal Brompton Hospital in London, achieving Level 3 EACVI Accreditation in Cardiac MRI.
In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Salloum holds board certifications in echocardiography from the British, European, and American professional bodies. He is known for his meticulous diagnostic approach, commitment to evidence-based care, and dedication to delivering personalised treatment plans that place patient safety, clarity, and long-term cardiovascular health at the forefront.
