Lydia founded The London Road Clinic in Newark in 2023. Her training began in a clinical aesthetic setting and progressed to specialist instruction under Dr Zein Obagi: one of the most widely published figures in skin science, and the physician behind the Obagi skin health system. That education gives her a grounding in skin biology that most aesthetic practitioners do not have: an understanding of how skin behaves across different Fitzpatrick types, not just how to modify its surface.

The clinic she built operates on a principle she applies to every consultation: the right treatment, for the right person, in the right order, with honest expectations. She will tell a client when a treatment is unlikely to deliver what they are hoping for, and recommend the one that will.

Dr Shahe Boghossian is a GMC-registered physician with a background in vascular surgery: a discipline built on precise anatomical knowledge of blood vessels, tissue planes and the consequences of working near both. He brings that rigour to his role at The London Road Clinic, where he oversees all clinical governance, prescribing and advanced injectable procedures.

His vascular surgery background has direct clinical relevance in aesthetic medicine. Intravascular injection, where product enters a blood vessel, is one of the documented routes to serious adverse events in injectable practice. Dr Boghossian's medical training is not a marketing credential. It is the anatomical foundation on which every injectable procedure at this clinic is designed.

He holds a named clinical specialism in gynaecomastia and is the medical reviewer for all clinical treatment information published by the clinic.

Melanie joined The London Road Clinic with a clinical background that most aesthetic practitioners do not have. After qualifying with a Masters degree in Nursing Science from the University of Nottingham, she spent 12 years as an NMC-registered nurse, including several years in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Queen's Medical Centre, one of the East Midlands' major trauma centres. That environment demands anatomical precision, vascular awareness and the ability to recognise clinical deterioration early: skills that translate directly into safe injectable practice.

Since 2023 she has worked as an aesthetic nurse, building a full-face injectable and skin practice covering anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, polynucleotides, exosome therapy and SkinPen microneedling. She is currently completing her V300 independent prescriber qualification at the University of Lincoln, with expected completion in August 2026.
