Spider Naevi (also known as telangiectasia) are small superficial red, purple or blue veins that occur close to the skins surface. The laser energy targets and cauterises the veins, effectively cutting off the blood supply. Once blood is no longer supplied to the vein, it will be naturally absorbed and expelled by the body. Results may be seen after one treatment; however a course of treatments may be required every 6-8 weeks, depending on the area being treated and your response to the treatment.
