I would highly recommend Professor O’Donnell, he made me feel at ease from start to finish. I already feel like a different person and can’t wait for the end result of my vein removal.

I had sclerotherapy treatment with Professor O’Donnell a couple of days ago and I wish I had done it sooner! For the past 15 years, I have been dressing to hide the varicose veins in my legs. I’d had enough and decided to do something about it and Professor Mark O’Donnell was highly recommended to me. My initial nerves were immediately settled by Professor O’Donnell when I met him. He has a very down-to-earth and approachable manner, happy to answer all my questions and made me feel immediately at ease. The procedure (which included both legs) was so straightforward and over before I knew it. The post op care was discussed at the end of the consultation but also included in a very informative booklet which I have at home. Why didn’t I do it sooner?! Great experience and can’t recommend Professor O’Donnell highly enough if you are interested in this treatment.

Prof O’Donnell saw me today for issues with throbbing pain in my lower leg. He listened carefully and explained everything very clearly with diagrams, and then did an ultrasound where he again took the time to point out the problem area so I could see it for myself. I am very happy with the suggested treatment and look forward to having the problem resolved.

Attending prof mark o Donnell since December 2025 for foam injections in my varicose veins in my legs - from my very first meeting mark has been fantastic, he talked me through the whole process on my first appointment with him, within a few weeks I was back for my procedure, I got called back for a review appointment within a few months to make sure everything went good and he decided I needed a top up to make sure no veins would come back, within a few weeks again I was back down for my top up and before I had even left the building I had my review appointment to come back in 5 months to check on everything again. Mark completely puts you at ease as soon as you meet him. Both my legs are now completely different to what they once were. Absolutely brilliant service.

Well, I can honestly say the treatment I have received from Prof Mark and all the staff over the review clinics and through the three procedures I had has been faultless and absolutely dead on. Prof Mark explained everything as we went along. Yes, the procedures were painful at times, but my legs had quite large and extensive veins. Now I am through it, healing nearly over, and on holiday in Corfu a couple of weeks ago, I wore swimming trunks in public....for the first time in 20 odd years...not only do my legs look better, they feel fantastic, but I am also getting and feeling much fitter. I would recommend anyone who has varicose vein problems to seek out Prof Mark, he will sort them for you!

I had foam schlerotherapy completed on both legs and the level of service across all areas of the hospital was fantastic. I received a warm and friendly welcome and was made to feel at ease at all times. Kirsty was fantastic, who admitted me, and all the nurses were fantastic during the procedure. Professor O’Donnell made me feel at ease and relaxed by maintaining a professional yet friendly demeanour throughout the procedure. He ensured all areas were treated and kept me updated about what he was doing at all times. I’m extremely happy with the service/treatment I received. Look forward to seeing the healed results.

I really must say, 5 stars is not enough for Professor O’Donnell and the rest of the team at Kingsbridge. I had a vascular procedure carried out on my right leg, and not a straightforward 1 at that. The entire team from front of house and everyone involved in the treatment were truly 1st class. Had a consultation with Mark O’Donnell for varicose vein advice.
My inner upper & lower leg had heavy bulging unsightly, varicose veins which were visible when wearing leggings. I always hid my legs & didn’t wear shorts or any type of clothing that exposed my legs. I was self-conscious of veins and didn’t realise they could ever be surgically removed.

I had my consultation with Mark, and he examined my leg and did an ultrasound scan. We had a chat, and Mark agreed on a plan. He also chatted about what to expect and aftercare.

Surgery day!!
I arrived at the clinic at 07:45. A nurse chatted about what to expect. It was a proper surgical theatre, very professional with a full medical team, probably 8 staff, and I truly felt at ease. The procedure took an hour & to be honest, we all chatted away at ease.

Mark reassured me throughout every step of the procedure, and before I knew it, the procedure was completed.
I got bandaged up & a pressure stocking put on, also got a brief chat on recovery, and leaflets supplied for more guidance.
If I’d needed to get the other leg done on the same day, straight after getting one leg done, it would have been no problem; that’s how pain-free and relaxed it was.
All the Marks team were totally professional & Mark was magnificent…The team treated me with dignity and care. I felt very satisfied that I was in safe hands.
After the procedure, Mark shows you what he’s done. I noticed immediately the bumpy, ugly, bulging veins were gone, did my best not to cry at the rapid results. My leg felt lighter instantly. To be honest, I felt I’d had a facelift; it boosted my confidence so much.
