Varicose Veins Treatment Istanbul

I am writing this review as it was actually reading someone else’s review on what clinic, which prompted me to inquire about a tummy tuck procedure with Newest Cosmetics. I had initially booked my surgery with another well publicised Turkish Cosmetics Surgery provider but changed my mind after a woman died whilst in their care. I contacted the Newest and within an hour they answered my query. They were able to look at my images and give me a quote within 24 hours. I was super impressed with the speed, efficiency, honesty and time they took diligently answering all my questions. They didn’t make me feel rushed at all and the quote they gave me was incredibly good value for money. I booked the Tummy Tuck surgery with Dr Hasan Findik and had the surgery 10th December 2018. Okay, so pros and cons: Pros: the customer service was, and is great. All their staff are so lovely, caring and attentive. A special big shout out to Fathi who was my patient coordinator and translator for the duration of my stay. The language barrier isn’t easy. Most people don’t speak a great deal of English but there was always someone on hand able to translate so it was never really an issue. They were really good at communicating with me over the course of my stay and organised everything meticulously. I even went to the hairdressers and Fathi called ahead on my behalf and spoke to them so that they could understand what I wanted! The quote that they gave me included the surgery, the garments, medicines, 3 x check-ups post surgery, really friendly chauffeurs to pick you up from the airport, drop you back to the airport, take you to and from the hospital for your check-ups and hotel for 7 nights including breakfast. Honestly so good and I was really happy with the value for money. The hospital is modern, clean and comfortable. Dr Hasan Findik is excellent at what he does. I’m only a week out of surgery and I really am happy with my results. My scar is super fine and neat. I might go back for more lipo around my waist in 6 months as I want it to be extra small, but so far it’s still early days and Dr Findik thinks I might be happy without it once all the swelling has gone down. The flight to Istanbul was relatively quick and the flights are also cheap! We stayed in the Mercure Altunazade which was perfectly comfortable. The staff were friendly, it was clean and warm. Lovely. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty basic. I would highly recommend bringing snacks with you for the whole stay in fact. Turkish food might not be to everyone’s taste. Even though I was post surgery and in some pain, having a week off with nothing to do is BLISS when you have a full-time job and 2 kids at home. One thing I would say is to bring a laptop or an iPad with loads of films and TV series downloaded beforehand. There are licensing restrictions in Turkey on UK streaming services so it won’t let you view or download things on amazon prime, for example, unless they are pre-downloaded. The hotel only had 3 English news channels but fortunately, I had my laptop and pre-downloaded content. My other half stayed at home to look after the kids and my mum was able to come with me as my chaperone for only a small fee on top of the quote. Totally worth it. I would definitely recommend bringing someone to help and keep you company after the surgery. The cons: after your surgery, I did not find the hospital to be liberal with their pain relief. The medicine they did give me barely made a difference and they would only administer more every 8 hours. 8 HOURS!!! I had a similar serious surgery back in the UK and I was very happily topped up during the first 2 days, every 3 hours post surgery using different medicines so that it was still safe, but kept my pain at bay. I assume it must be their medical laws or because they are a Muslim country they don’t tend to use opiate based medicine but, I really missed it. The first 24 hours are the worst but after that, it gets loads better. I might be a total wimp and others might not feel the same way as I did, but I wanted to leave an honest review so people knew what to expect. If you can grin and bear it, then the saving you make having the surgery in Turkey is still 100% worth it so don’t let this put you off. Bring sleeping pills too as they don’t give you these either. Would I go back to Newest again? Yes. Would I recommend them to a friend or family? Definitely! They are good, kind people who really care that you are given the best experience and Dr Hasan Findik really is an artist. I can’t see anyone regretting their decision going there. If they can just get their pain management strategy under control, then it would be practically perfect!

I researched suitable Varicose Treatment centres in Whatclinic and found the Pax Clinic. I made equity which was responded to extremely quickly by Gediz, a lady with excellent English who booked me in to see Dr Us. I have varicose veins on the back of my legs. I went to my GP in the UK, who said that they were just a cosmetic issue, nothing to be worried about. I went to Dr Us's surgery and after a short wait, I saw a Dr who spoke good English. He examined me and then conducted several tests there and then. He clearly explained that he needs to know if the root of the problem was in the deep vein valves, or if it is just a cosmetic issue. To know this I needed to get a detailed Doppler scan of all of the main veins in my leg. This had to be done at a neighbouring clinic. They booked me in and I went the following day, it cost £200 and was a very thorough ultrasound survey of all my veins and valves, taking over an hour. The report was sent back to Dr Us, who told me that I have a grade 4 venous insufficiency in both legs. FYI Grade 5 is DVT, so it was a serious potential problem. He was able to do the surgery, but it would require at least a week to get a bed in the hospital. This is quite a serious operation, taking 4-5 hours and an overnight stay in the hospital. The cost for this would be around £7,500. I am going back to the UK to see if I can get medical insurance or the NHS to deal with. Dr Us provided me with a report for this purpose. If not I will come back out to Dr Us, who I rated very highly. He is one of the leaders in his field, globally. The service I received was second to none and Dr Us gave me a prescription for medication to slow the progression and an injector to administer before I fly for more than 2 hours.
