Biography:
Dr. Hamilton is a caring board-certified surgeon who is passionate about taking care of her patients. She has dedicated most of her adult life to helping others. She is an experienced general surgeon who has performed many bread-and-butter general surgery cases but has a passion for studying and helping those struggling with obesity. A native of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Dr. Hamilton has traveled the world for her studies. After completing her undergraduate and graduate studies, she went to medical school at the University of Texas in San Antonio to receive her medical degree. She did her residency under the direction of Dr. L.D. Britt at Eastern Virginia Medical School and received laparoscopic and bariatric fellowship training in San Antonio. Dr. Hamilton sits on the bariatric committee for the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and has multiple presentations and publications researching both general and bariatric diseases. She has performed hundreds of bariatric procedures and has made weight loss surgery her primary focus.

Biography:
Dr. Alexander, a minimally invasive general surgeon, is a graduate of Lincoln University in Lincoln, PA where he earned a bachelor of science in biology. He then attended Howard University College of Medicine, where he obtained his medical degree and completed his general surgery residency. After a year of research in bariatric medicine, Dr. Alexander attended the Texas Endosurgery Institute for fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery. Under the tutelage of Dr. Morris E. Franklin, Dr. Alexander was exposed to biliary (gall bladder and bile ducts), hernia, foregut (upper GI tract), colon, and rectal minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Alexander is board certified by the American College of Surgeons and a candidate member of the American Medical Association and National Medical Association.

Dr Reginald Newsome

Biography:
Reginald J. Newsome, MD received his undergraduate degree in psychology with a neurosciences concentration from Duke University. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center (UTHSC) at San Antonio. He performed his general surgery internship and anesthesiology residency at UTHSC in Houston, where he had extensive exposure to orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, and pain management. After his residency, Dr. Newsome pursued his passion for sports medicine and soon became the medical director at the Texas Sports Medicine Institute and chief anesthesiologist of their regional anesthesia and acute pain service. After serving in this role for three years, Dr. Newsome completed a one-year interventional spine/pain management fellowship in Dallas, Texas at the Solar Health Pain Management Institute under the tutelage of Dr. Mohammed Zulquarnain and Dr. Haroon Rasheed.
