We have just returned from Fethiye where my husband had a nasty fall and was treated efficiently and quickly by the accident and emergency department. He had a nasty cut to his thumb and fractured cheekbone. He was pretty poorly and so he was admitted for tests including a CT scan. He had many tests and examinations before being released the next day. They nurses and doctors were very caring and professional, and we also had the services of a young English woman called Jess who was invaluable throughout for her translation skills. Thank you Esnaf!

The simplest method to help lose weight is the gastric balloon treatment. A balloon filled with liquid or air is placed inside the stomach with the help of an endoscope. You will be sedated for the procedure. All the procedure takes up to 15 - 20 minutes.  The capacity of nutritional intake is reduced and intragastric balloon slows down the time it takes to empty the stomach and it seems to change the levels of hormones that control appetite. Doing so, the patient can lose up to 7-8 kilograms of excess weight a month. An overall weight loss between 8 - 40 kilograms is expected. However, the very same gastric balloon can stay inside the stomach between 6 months to 1 year and can be easily extracted via endoscope in 5-6 minutes. Despite the fact the operation is easy to perform and there is no permanent change on the body, it is easy to regain weight unless the patient changes his / her way of life and carry on with the necessary diet. Patients can have an idea as to what to and how to eat following 6 months to 1 year after the operation.
