The Philippine Obesity Control Surgery Team is doing the Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center, De Los Santos Medical Center, FEU-NRMF Medical Center, Metropolitan Hospital, New Medical City and St Luke’s Medical Center.

Reducing the capacity of the stomach to only 30 cc results to a decreased food intake and early but prolonged satiety. The patient will have an early feeling of fullness with minimal food intake and will not be hungry for a longer time resulting therefore to weight loss.
