I live in Canada and had been suffering from osteoarthritis in my left shoulder for a number of years. After trying various types of alternate solutions such as physiotherapy, visco-supplementation and cortisone injections, the conclusion was reached with the doctors involved that a full shoulder replacement surgery was the best, if not the only, solution to regain life quality moving forward. I got referred to an orthopedic surgeon, but was not getting any call back, and was unable to find out when I could possibly get that call, let alone go through the surgery. I began to search on the Web for organizations providing private medical services abroad. There are many out there, advertising services in many different countries. I reached out to several of them through their sites. Wellness Travels was the only one which, in my opinion, demonstrated a serious and human approach. Even though the clinic is located in a fairly remote country (Lithuania), this was not a deterrent since I exchanged daily for several weeks with a Lithuanian contact in Canada. All my questions and concerns were addressed throughout those exchanges. In addition, I had consultations with a very experienced Canadian based orthopedic surgeon, who performed thousands of surgeries throughout his career, and took the time to travel to the clinic, meet the surgeons and inspect the facilities thoroughly. He went to the extent of climbing up to the roof to verify the ventilation systems. With the coordinator we scheduled a date for the surgery and determined the best travel plans. When I finally got there, the clinic was exactly as what I saw on their website and what the doctor told me: immaculate and as modern as any other world class facility. From a pricing perspective, the cost was very reasonable, compared to the those advertised by the other sites. The surgery and rehab services were outstanding at every level. The surgeon even took the time to visit me every day during my stay to follow up on my progress. The physiotherapist showed up even on weekends to work with me and the other foreign patients. Surgery such as the one I got is a major undertaking, and an even more daunting one when travelling far from home away from family and friends. I took the risk to go for it, and it was worthwhile! In general, people who know me would confirm that I am a very demanding customer. So it is quite a leap for me to totally recommend without hesitation Wellness Travels to anyone in need of orthopaedic surgery.

I had the gastric sleeve in July 2021. From the first enquiry to the actual surgery I can’t fault anything. Communication was excellent Paule. She helped book accommodations, taxis were sorted with no issues and a fantastic driver. The hospital was amazing the care I received was top quality I never felt worried and there isn't any language barrier. All the tests prior to surgery were very thorough. The surgeon was outstanding too he explained everything from start to finish and his bedside manner was incredible. I truly thank the stars I found Newman clinic as they are top class for everything. I’m over a year post-op nearly 11 stone lost and looking to book plastics and a million percent heading back to Newman clinic for the next stage of my journey.

Professional, helpful and friendly team. My medical manager who assisted me before treatment and during whole trip was super cute and caring, helped me organizing everything I needed. My plastic surgeon was fantastic, he made me calm and not stressed. I am more than happy with my tummy result, it was my dream for many years. Finally it came true with this amazing team. The team at Nordbariatric were absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. From the very first email I sent they have been there to answer every question(no matter how weird or irrational some of my questions were). I had all my questions answered and all the information I could need and they still waited patiently while I went and researched and contacted other clinics to compare and make sure Nords was the team for me... They proved to absolutely be the team for me and after all my research and contact with other clinics(in various places in Lithuania and further afield) they were there waiting and ready to roll when I contacted them to say I had made my decision and was choosing their team. My time in Lithuania was fantastic and the care I received from all involved was exceptional. The girls at the desk in the clinic, the nurses in clinic and on the ward, the Professor all couldn't possibly be nicer, more knowledgeable and caring. Even the logistics team of drivers who pick you up at the airport and shuttle you to and from clinic etc are lovely people and some are downright hilarious!!! I couldn't recommend Nordbariatric highly enough. If members of my own immediate family were looking for a team and surgeon I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving them in the hands of anyone only this team.
