He is a member of Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society of India – OSSI, International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders - IFSO and a fellow of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India – FMAS.  He studied MBBS and MS (General Surgery) at Kurnool Medical College. He is also a member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - MRCSEd since 2005. He is a Diplomate of National Board since 2006. He has keen interest in medical research and published several articles in national and international journals. He is an invited faculty for several national and international conferences and presented several papers in these conferences.  He regularly conducts continuing medical education programs for doctors, awareness programs and support group programs to educate general public about metabolic, bariatric and advanced laparoscopic surgeries. 

Dr Biswanath Gouda is an experienced Advanced Laparoscopic GI , Bariatric & HPB Surgeon. He gained his medical education in Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L.Nair Charitable Hospital Mumbai and then completed surgical residency (DNB Surgery) in P.D.Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai. Dr Biswanath Gouda did his Fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgery at Medanta Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine. He is passionate about treatment techniques for morbidly obese patients, treatment modalities for liver & pancreatic cancer as well as improving laparoscopic access for liver surgery.
