Mini Gastric Bypass - OAGB Europe

Had a sleeve done on Tuesday, 10th February 26. Was talked through the process from start to finish, and everything I was told happened. The only thing I would say negative need more translators to hand other than that, I can’t fault the whole process.

I had my surgery 3 weeks ago. Before I left home I was very apprehensive but those feelings soon went. My coordinator was Oguzhan who was superb and always answered my questions immediately. I was met at the airport and was driven in a nice Mercedes taxi van. We arrived at the hospital which was immaculate and had fabulous staff. I had tests in the evening and morning before having my surgery at 10 am. My doctor was a great guy and will see you 3 times in total. When I awakened after the surgery the pain is intense due to the gas the put inside you for the surgery but this soon goes away. The key is walking to alleviate the pain. I am so glad I chose Dr. Volkan and in 3 weeks I have lost 2.5 stone and I am wearing clothes that haven't fitted me in years.

I had gastric sleeve surgery in July 2025. My experience was second to none; the care and medical team were amazing. On the day of surgery, I had a full medical check, including lungs, heart and endoscopy, full bloods, etc. I was seen by specialists in their respective fields, and this was all completed in 2 hours. I felt so confident going for surgery, knowing I was fit and healthy. Aftercare is amazing, and I can still get in touch with any questions or concerns now. The whole medical team and especially the surgeon Prof. Antanas Mickevičius were outstanding and I received first-class care and aftercare treatment in Newman clinic .from the first time I made a decision to do a gastric bypass Victoria was with me on WhatsApp until the last day. I really had a lovely experience with them and I think why I didn’t do it sooner. I had a gastric sleeve procedure here in 2024, and Aysha organized everything so all I had to do was pack and book my flight. She even helped me arrange the best flight times. Everything was exceptionally well-organized, professional, and friendly. I stayed in a very comfortable family room. After my surgery, I wanted to freshen up my hair, and Aysha kindly took me to a local hair salon. It was such a relief to have someone there to take care of me. From the moment I met my transfer driver, I felt at ease. They were so nice and the transfer was quick and easy. Upon arrival at the clinic, I saw my room and had a thorough discussion about everything with the staff. The doctor I met with was down-to-earth and kind, which helped me feel relaxed. I underwent all the necessary pre-surgery tests including blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound, and other checks. The next day, I had my surgery, and the nursing team provided excellent care. Aysha, the health coordinator, was always just a message away for any support I needed. My recovery was surprisingly quick. I was up and walking around, visiting the shopping centre just two days after surgery. I also had a delightful visit with the dietician, who was not only lovely but also very funny. She provided me with a comprehensive eating and self-care plan for the next year. Before leaving, I received all the medications necessary for my recovery at home and medical letters from my doctors back home. The clinic is conveniently located about an hour from Istanbul Airport, and the transfer was quick. The town itself is pleasant, and the clinic is truly 5-star — very clean, and comfortable, and my room was cleaned daily. Overall, I received 5-star accommodation and care at this clinic and would highly recommend it and the doctor if you're considering surgery. Aysha will take care of everything for you. I feel fantastic now and am looking forward to seeing the results over the next year. Thank you all so much.

Having developed high blood pressure at an early age of 23 and having lots of tests carried out with no real answers, I began to question my weight. A few years passed after trying various different well-known diets and failed miserably. I gained more weight if anything! I came across Mr Hamouda after a recommendation from a close family member who has also had a sleeve operation - losing close to 8st in under a year, she has also maintained this weight for nearly 18 months. On my initial consultation with Hamouda, I felt at ease and was able to disclose any personal issues relating to eating disorders. My wife and my 8-month-old child were all welcome. He likes to invite close family members to your appointments as he likes you to have support from your loved ones, I thought that he would find my child annoying throughout the consultation but Dr Hamouda was the complete opposite. Once I was accepted for my sleeve operation I was put under the careful care of he's team who were all brilliant at every stage. The support was there for me before, during and now after my operation. The care at Benenden was outstanding, treated like a king in his own hotel room! 1-1 care, nothing was a problem and would recommend this hospital for anyone thinking of weight loss surgery. Since my operation just over a year ago I have lost nearly 9st. Without a sleeve operation, this would never of happen. My BMI has dropped by 15 and has lost over 60 inches around my whole body. If anyone for some reason is questioning Dr Hamouda or weight loss surgery then don’t! Dr Hamouda not only changed my life but allowed me to start living it again.
