After speaking to Judith JobIing at Gastric Band Support Manchester (who I also highly recommend and who has been doing my fills for a couple of years) chose to go to Belgium for a replacement Gastric Band as mine developed a leak. She recommended Obesity Solutions and got in touch with Chris Deprez the Patient Care Manager on my behalf and he contacted me straight away. The process was very smooth and I had a couple of calls and Zoom meetings with him where he explained everything and answered all of my questions. It was such a different experience from the place I initially used for my Band and then subsequently for a breast reduction. I used The Hospital Group then changed its name I believe to Transform Hospital Group. (I would recommend people do not use this hospital, I have put reviews on their website.) I arrived in Belgium with my wife who was allowed to stay in the hotel provided for me at no extra cost. We were collected at the airport and dropped off at our hotel. Any other travel to and from appointments etc was provided in the cost and the driver even collected us from the train station after a day out in Brugge. All my appointments were on time and hassle-free. The morning of the operation I was collected at my hotel and dropped off at the Hospital at 7 am. By 7.45 am I was in the theatre and the operation was finished by 8.30 am. The nursing, admin and surgical staff were fantastic, they could not do enough for me. I was collected from the hospital at 1 pm and taken back to my hotel. I ended up just having a port replacement as that was the part that was leaking. Chris had explained that the Surgeon may do that after the leak was identified on an x-ray the day before. The pain was minimal straight after the operation and has virtually gone now after 1 week. I have had regular contact with Chris since the operation and getting back to England. I have an app on which I log my ongoing weight and I have direct access to Chris anytime. It also is full of other info regarding aftercare, diets, what to do etc. I am honestly overwhelmed with thanks to Chris, his team & the medical staff in Belgium. I also received a refund as the operation was not as big as I first thought. If I had to go for any further treatment, given the choice I would choose Obesity Solutions every time.
