I was covered in skin tags on my chest and stomach and went to the Skin Balance Clinic at the Wellbeing Clinic at Headington to see if anything could be done about them. Helena explained the process at every stage and allayed any fears I had. She has such a calming voice and a lovely bedside manner that immediately put me at ease! All in all, she removed between 80 and 100 skin tags - quite a mission. After about a day, small scabs start to form which is all part of the healing process and after about 3 weeks, they naturally clear up. Now I've never seen my chest and stomach feel and look so smooth. I'll definitely go back to Skin Balance Clinic for more of the same treatment. It was well worth it, especially with summer approaching, I'm a lot less self-conscious. Thanks, Helena!

Visited the clinic today for the first time and was very impressed, booked my next appointment before leaving. I have been suffering with crps and a lot of pain after having a fall down the stairs for the last three months. Even though the session was painful I have more movement in my hand than I have had in the last three months. I have a long way to go but feel a lot more confident of achieving a recovery now. Amazing experience. Have had constant lower back pain for 2 years plus. Traditional doctors recommended exercises that did not work. And increasingly high pain killers. After 6 appointments I'm better. And Pawel fixed a long term issue with my shoulder blades at the same time. He is a lovely calming person to be around and I feel 100% physically and mentally better. I was suffering from muscle spasms in my shoulder causing a very painful nerve pinch whenever I moved my arm too much. After one treatment from Pawel I had at least 70% of my movement back.. which after weeks of discomfort was fantastic! Friendly and considerate, I have no hesitation in recommending his service.

Seeking acupuncture help with my weak arm after having a stroke and also neck and sinus problems. Ying was very knowledgeable and understanding and treated all my issues. I chose this clinic as not far from my home town. The clinic is also suitable for disabled patients, with wheelchair access and toilet facilities. Parking is available on street or nearby carpark.Good value all round. Looking forward to my next visit.

I’m frequently asked the question “What is the difference between an Osteopath and a Chiropractor?”.I some times wonder “What is the difference between two Osteopaths?”.Both Osteopathy and Chiropractic came into being in the USA in the 1880's.Both Chiropractic and Osteopathy use Spinal Manipulation.Both Professions have developed more subtle forms of treatment such as Applied Kinesiology (Chiro.), Cranio-Sacral Osteopathy and Visceral Manipulation (Osteo.).Currently, in the USA, Osteopaths are considered the same as Medical Doctors. They are very different to British Osteopaths, who still work in the traditional way, i.e. Hands on.Chiropractors in the USA work the same way as they do in the UK.Osteopaths train at one of 3 full time schools in and around London, doing a 4 year degree.Chiropractors train at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, doing a 5 year Degree.Both professions have overseas graduates working in the UK.Differences between these two Professions can be difficult to identify.I know members of both professions who see patients very frequently, having them pay large sums of money up front.I also know Chiropractors and Osteopaths who are very genuine, honest and caring people. Very knowledgeable and skilled in their professions.Interestingly, as I attend Courses, I find it pleasing to find I’m sharing my time with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths and many other people in my line of work.Personally, if I were in Pain, and needed treatment, I would look for the best recommendation by “Word of Mouth” and not be too concerned whether they were a Chiropractor or an Osteopath.
