In the first visit which lasts an hour and half a detailed case history is taken to diagnose the problem suffered by the patient and treatment is given. Patients are treated in subsequent 45 minute acupuncture sessions the number of which, depends on the length of time you have had the condition and how you respond to treatment. Anne will advise you about this after she has discussed your individual case with you. Other treatments which may be incorporated into the acupuncture treatment are moxibustion, electro-acupuncture, acupressure, massage, cupping and reiki. Anne is also a Chinese herbal medicine practitioner and the consultation for herbs is similar to the acupuncture consultation and sometimes it is suggested that herbs are used alongside acupuncture.
