Mark Kiely
Biography:
Mark Kiely Lic Ac, MBAcC, BSc (Hons) has worked as an acupuncturist in London since 2007.
Previously, he had worked in the wine trade. Mark has travelled extensively and on his travels became fascinated by many aspects of Asian culture. When he decided to look for a change in direction, having himself been treated by acupuncturists for a major illness, Mark decided that this was the new career he wanted to follow. He studied to become an acupuncturist in London, attending the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for four years. Upon graduation, he became a full member of the British Acupuncture Council.
Training
The course that he studied is fully comprehensive and covers the following areas:
• The principles and application of traditional Chinese diagnosis
• The location of acupuncture points on the human body and the specific properties of each point
• Anatomy
• Western medical physiology and pathology
• During his time of study, Mark also completed a course in medical Qi Gong. He regularly practises these postures and will demonstrate for patients any particular exercises that will benefit them.
