About City College Acupuncture Clinic

Becoming increasingly popular, multi-bed clinics are a quick and efficient way of treating more than one person at a time, resulting in an increased turnover. The business element of our course will prepare you to work privately or in the NHS and to establish your own multi-bed practice if that appeals to you.

Instead of being seen one-by-one in isolation, patients receive their acupuncture in a more open environment. Although their conversations and diagnosis are kept private, patients are treated communally. Patients report a feeling of togetherness and community similar to that of a yoga or T’ai Chi class. If you treatment requires privacy, we will take you to a private room.

As the acupuncturist is not tied to treating just one person at a time, treatment costs are kept down and a larger number of people can be treated in one day. This is the way treatment typically happens in China. For patients with chronic conditions that require frequent treatments, this is an excellent way of keeping the cost down. It also enables people on a lower income who would never normally be able to afford treatment to experience the benefits of acupuncture.
