Dr Enrica Cheung - Doctor at Health in Flow Chinese Medicine

Dr Enrica Cheung

Job Title:
• Enrica is a university-trained and registered acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, with knowledge of Western medicine as well. With this combination of experience and perspective, she is able to effectively treat patients for many different conditions.

• She believes that a persons mental outlook, lifestyle and environment are intrinsically linked to their health and has a special interest in psycho-emotional conditions including stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia, which can manifest physical illness. In addition, she treats gastrointestinal, dermatological, respiratory, gynaecological and musculo-skeletal conditions, which can all have an effect on emotional and mental health. She has also worked previously in a corporate environment and understands the lifestyle and stresses that it can bring.

• Enrica maintains both her mental, spiritual and physical health through pursuits such as meditation, Qi Gong and Aikido. She has been studying Aikido, a Japanese martial art, since 2004 and has been teaching this “Way of Harmony and Spirit” at Aikido Shudokan both locally and internationally for over 7 years and is currently a 4th degree black belt. The training allows her to continue to develop the awareness, focus, energy and grounding required to treat patients effectively with Chinese Medicine.

• She is currently registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of Australia’s peak professional body for Chinese medicine, the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).

Dr Eli Thomas - at Health in Flow Chinese Medicine

Dr Eli Thomas

Dr. Eli Thomas combines her curious nature and love of problem-solving with a double degree in Human Biology and Chinese Medicine from RMIT University, to achieve optimal health outcomes for her clients. A struggle with her own health, and the experience of being a passive ‘passenger’ through the western medical system led her down the path of exploring what health means to the individual, and how to maintain it, across cultural and historical bounds. Eli turned to alternative therapies to provide deeper understanding of the body-mind connection and support for the very personal journey of healing. This included immersing herself in an urban-yogic lifestyle, studying women’s mysteries, and travelling through Taoist temples and Buddhist monasteries whilst undertaking a clinical Chinese Medicine internship in Nanjing, China.
