Julie Stone

Biography:
B.Soc Stud., M. Soc.Wk.(Sydney), MAASW Having worked for 40 years in a wide variety of fields I have vast experience in a full range of therapies and counselling situations. I work with cognitive and psychodynamic treatments, and have endeavoured to train widely, utilising all skills and techniques to completely approach human issues and disorders, both personal and social, including courses in Family Therapy, Hypnotherapy, EMDR Levels I an II, Conflict Negotiation, and Management Training. I treat trauma issues including Dissociative Disorders, Depression and Anxiety. The whole person is treated including their spiritual needs as well as emotional, as these issues impact the whole of life. My Masters degree was by research into Comparative Therapeutic Usefulness. I am member of AASW, and also a Fellow of the Australian College of Social Workers (Clinical and Mental Health). I am accredited with the Victims of Crime Tribunal, the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as Medicare, using a range of evidence based therapy.

Sunny Hong

Biography:
Analytic psychotherapist, Couple & Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker & Consultant, B.SW, M.SW (UNSW) MAASW, Dip. Psychotherapy, ANZAP. Sunny is a couple & family therapist and an analytic psychotherapist. She has been working with individuals, couples and families for the past 23 years. She is a clinical member of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW, College of Clinical Social Work), and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP), The International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP) and International Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology (IAPSP). Sunny has been interested in the field of trauma and attachment disorders and how the traumatic experiences in childhood impinges on the development of self and one’s feeling of well- being. These traumatic experiences arrest a person’s developmental processes in such a way that they experience difficulties in relationships, suffer from depression and anxiety and other forms of psychopathology. Sunny’s interest in attachment disorders and infant-parent attachment formation continues with on-going professional development and working as an authorised clinician with Children’s Court Clinic in NSW Children’s Court. Further area of interest over the years and treatment has been working with individuals with eating disorders and various forms of trauma.

BA (Psych) Grad Dip R.Counselling, MAPS Registered Psychologist Registration Keryn is a registered Psychologist and has been practicing for over 20 years. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate education at the University of Sydney and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Keryn is experienced in providing individual counselling to adults for a wide range of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, domestic violence, trauma and sexual abuse. She can assist with sexuality, parenting, migration and life adjustments as well as pre-marriage and marriage counselling. Keryn is passionate about refugee, multicultural and women’s issues and has a keen interest in assisting people overcome trauma. Keryn has been in private practice for over 10 years. She conducts personality and ministry assessments for various church denominations including The Sydney Anglican Diocese, Presbyterian Church, The Baptist Union of NSW, The Uniting Church and CMS Australia. She debriefs and counsels missionaries and understands the challenges facing individuals and their families working in ministry contexts. Keryn updates her therapeutic practice by undertaking professional development regularly to empower people to develop self awareness and initiate positive change in their lives and relationships.
