It provides atherapeutic method where the patient breathes 100% oxygen in an environmentwith a pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure (precisely, in a pressureequivalent from 10 to 20 meters below the sea level). Patients breathe 100%oxygen through face masks, while certified helmets are available for children.Hyperbaric oxygen is capable of reaching the so-called “sleeping cells”, whichare located mainly in the brain and in the nervous tissue, and it gradually wakesup their metabolism.
