I graduated from Coventry University in 2003 with a 2:1 degree with honours becoming a Chartered Physiotherapist. Following graduation I moved to Leicester to work in Leicester Royal Infirmary for two years. During this time I worked in various areas including musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, general surgery (including intensive care), paediatrics (including musculoskeletal, neonatal and children’s intensive care), women’s health (pelvic pain and pregnancy associated pain), the hand unit and working with burns and post trauma plastic surgery patients. Following this varied start to my career I decided that I would like to specialise in the out-patients and musculoskeletal field. I then began working in Coventry Primary Care Trust as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist. I had also begun to provide physiotherapy cover for various sports teams and events. Having expressed an interest in private work while providing physiotherapy at the Children’s International Games in 2005; I was fortunate to be approached by Andrew Holbrook to work in Godswell Physiotherapy Clinic which he co-owns in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. In October 2006 Andrew offered me the opportunity to work for Tudor Physiotherapy (Warwickshire). Since February 2007 I have worked part time for Andrew in Godswell Physiotherapy and Tudor Physiotherapy while maintaining a part time position in the NHS. Through my NHS position I work alongside specialists and consultants in a lower back pain service; part of this role includes, referring for investigations (eg. MRI, blood tests) procedures such as x-ray guided injections and listing for surgery as appropriate, alongside detailed assessment and physiotherapy treatment. I also work with upper and lower limb specialists, which has afforded me a wealth of experience. Through post-graduate training I have a sports first aid qualification and I am qualified to treat using acupuncture. Through my work with Tudor Physiotherapy I work for Warwick School covering rugby matches, in addition to treating their students off the pitch. This has led to me being invited to provide medical and physiotherapy support for their forthcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand. Aside from Physiotherapy I enjoy horseriding, swimming and running. I am currently in the process of applying to Keele University to begin working towards a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy in the new academic year.

I am a chartered physiotherapist and I graduated in 1998 from The University of East Anglia with a 2:1 BSc (Honours) degree in physiotherapy. I spent the next 2 years working at Warwick Hospital where I became more skilled in the core areas of physiotherapy. I then travelled to Australia and New Zealand over the following year which was a valuable life and confidence building experience. On my return I gained Valuable knowledge over the next few years working as a locum in the midlands area - in Coventry, Leicester and Dudley - covering in particular out-patients clinics and working in a lower limb sports injuries department. Partly due to my athletics background, my interests are firmly rooted in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and sports injuries. My NHS work has also involved working in a Back Assessment Clinic and supporting orthopaedic consultants. I am originally from Kenilworth and my interest in physiotherapy stems from my involvement in athletics. I am a member of Coventry Godiva Harriers and compete over middle distance events and recently won bronze at the Midland Indoor Championships 800m.

I qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1998 from Birmingham University with a BSc Honours degree in physiotherapy. My first job was at Warwick hospital where I gained valuable experience in all aspects of the profession including working on the orthopaedic and post surgical wards. I have always had a particular interest in outpatient musculo-skeletal and sports injuries and have worked as a senior physiotherapist in this area, at both Warwick and Stratford Hospitals, up until 2005. During this time I was involved in setting up a back rehabilitation class, working closely with orthopaedic consultants in their clinics and during this time, I also ran a knee rehabilitation class. Whilst working in the NHS I also worked evenings in a private sports injuries and physiotherapy clinic in Bloxham. On leaving the NHS I worked from 2005 to 2008 in a busy private clinic in Coventry, specialising in sports injuries and work related conditions. At this practice our clients ranged from people with occupational health problems, whiplash and spinal injuries to elite sports people. I was involved in working with elite youth golfers, cricketers and attended regular postgraduate courses to further my knowledge and expertise. Through playing many different sports to a reasonable standard I have a good awareness of the varying demands that are put on the body. The main sports I participated in were rugby, cricket attaining district and county standard in both. I now play tennis, squash and am trying to improve my golf.
