Ms Lynda Gibson

Job Title:
 Physiotherapist
Biography:
Lynda works part-time at a local Hospital as a Clinical Specialist/Extended Scope Practitioner on the Spinal Team. She works alongside the Spinal Surgeons and has post graduate qualifications in Spinal Manipulation (MMACP) and has been an examiner and clinical supervisor for this qualification until part-time NHS working made finding the time difficult. As an active member of the spinal team she is involved in the training of other physiotherapists.
As a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) she has attended many courses to update and maintain her skills.
She has experience in many treatment modalities including Mulligan and McKenzie techniques, core stability training and Myofascial Trigger Point (MFTP) release and treatment and is currently involved in an MSc in Advanced Practice.
Practising Yoga herself she often finds it useful to incorporate Yoga movements into some exercise regimes and is due to develop her skills in Tai Chi for patients in the New Year.
She has recently attended The Osteoporosis Conference, held in Liverpool this year and has an interest in the treatment and management of patients with Osteoporosis, having lectured to the Liverpool Branch of the Osteoporosis Society on exercises and pain relief.

Ms Anne Murray

Job Title:
 Physiotherapist
Biography:
Anne has worked extensively as a physiotherapist in the NHS before leaving in 1995 to devote more time to developing her work in private practice. She has a breadth of experience, and post graduate training, in sports and soft tissue injuries, including whiplash and neck/shoulder problems. As an an advocate of McKenzie principles for the treatment of back and neck pain, she values this approach as enabling patients to continue to self-treat at home.
She has a particular interest in Pain Management and a developing interest in the use of one-to-one Pilates techniques in the treatment and long term management of low back pain.
She has recently attended further training in the use of Balance Taping for joint and soft tissue injuries, and is interested to see how this helps promote continued healing between treatment sessions.
