Mr Matt Todman

Job Title:
 Physiotherapist
Biography:
Matt Todman makes no bones about his Essex boy status. After being politely asked to leave school at the age of 16, Matt had the choice to either train to become a chef or try to gain some further education. The education battle was won and after he learnt how to spell Physiotherapy, gained a place at the Middlesex hospital, London qualifying in 1992. The next 2 years in the NHS were spent making all his patients worse, and the simple discovery that if you make them worse, then do the opposite of what was taught and make them better. An 18-month period overseas, sitting on beaches whetted his appetite to officially learn more and try to gain an MSc at UCL. Funnily enough he was initially rejected for being too flippant in the interview. It was then almost impossible not to be accepted! Finally completing his MSc in 1998 and after lots of undercover work the suggestion that Matt might be really good at this physio lark was now becoming a reality. Working with Mark and teaching the McConnell concept to the UK developed, honed and focussed Matt`s skills, talent and good looks.

Ms Christine Flynn

Job Title:

Biography:
Christine graduated in 2006 after a 4 year degree programme, with a BSc in Physiotherapy from University College Dublin, Ireland. She started her career in the Irish equivalent of the NHS in St. Michael`s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin; working on the wards and in musculoskeletal outpatients while also running cardiac rehabilitation classes. Alongside this, Christine worked at Terenure Rugby Club and Pembroke Wanderer`s Hockey Club treating a wide range of injuries and providing pitch side care and accompanied two teams to the European Hockey League finals. She returned to University to study for a Masters in Sports Medicine in Trinity College Dublin and afterwards commenced working in private practice in Dublin treating a wide caseload of musculoskeletal injuries. During this time she worked with Leinster rugby`s development squad and Leinster Senior hockey Interpros, while also completing a teaching course in Stott Pilates. She has a keen interest in functional rehab, Pilates and exercise based rehab for osteoporosis.

Ms Sara Monaghan

Job Title:
 Phlebotomist
Biography:
Sara Monaghan was drawn to the profession of Physiotherapy by her fascination with the human body, how it works and how we can make it better. She also enjoys the interaction with people from all walks of life, getting to know them and hearing all their tales. Sara graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Melbourne in 2003. From here she accepted a graduate rotating position at St Vincent’s Hospital, a large teaching hospital in Melbourne, where she gained experience in all disciplines over the next two years. When she discovered her favourite rotations were in the musculoskeletal areas she moved back to her home town of Hobart to try her hand in private musculoskeletal physiotherapy. After living at home for 6 months in small town Hobart Sara had had enough, she packed up her bags and travelled for 6 months with 3 girlfriends before doing a stint of physio in Tralee, Ireland. On her return to Australia she got a job in a busy sports and spinal practice in Melbourne where she worked for 4 years. During this time she was also the physiotherapist for the local soccer and AFL team.
