Ms Sophie Ladkin

Job Title:
  Practice Manager
Biography:
Sophie joined Six Physios admin team in September 2010. Her exciting new challenge starting March 2011 is to put our newest clinic at Monument EC3 on the map, in the role of Practice Manager. Originally a Geordie, she has been living in London for three years and has almost completely lost the accent! She graduated from Central Saint Martins in History of Art this summer and loves to visit exhibitions in her spare time. Sophie enjoys travelling and has made various backpacking trips around Europe, Central America, Africa and the Middle East – next stop Southeast Asia. Prior to starting at Six Physio Sophie undertook an internship in the British Library’s sound archive. One of the SIX things you didn’t know about Sophie: she made her TV debut on Blue Peter aged 10!

Mr Matt Todman

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Biography:
Matt Todman makes no bones about his Essex boy status. After being politely asked to leave school at the age of 16, Matt had the choice to either train to become a chef or try to gain some further education. The education battle was won and after he learnt how to spell Physiotherapy, gained a place at the Middlesex hospital, London qualifying in 1992. The next 2 years in the NHS were spent making all his patients worse, and the simple discovery that if you make them worse, then do the opposite of what was taught and make them better. An 18-month period overseas, sitting on beaches whetted his appetite to officially learn more and try to gain an MSc at UCL. Funnily enough he was initially rejected for being too flippant in the interview. It was then almost impossible not to be accepted! Finally completing his MSc in 1998 and after lots of undercover work the suggestion that Matt might be really good at this physio lark was now becoming a reality. Working with Mark and teaching the McConnell concept to the UK developed, honed and focussed Matt`s skills, talent and good looks.

Ms Lynne Cantwell

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Biography:
Having a background in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick, Lynne continued her studies in Southampton University to complete a Masters in Physiotherapy. Lynne worked in private practice in Ireland for a few years while acting as a physiotherapist and providing strength and conditioning coach to an elite rugby academy in Munster. Lynne then ventured further afield to New Zealand working in a private clinic and making the most of the outdoor adventures on her doorstep. Her travels also brought her to Perth where she completed a Diploma in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and Advanced Sports Rehabilitation. She is a qualified acupuncturist also. Lynne is a keen rugby player and has clocked up 66 caps playing for Ireland.

Sarah Le Good

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Specialisations:
  Physiotherapy
Biography:

Sarah, originally from Oxfordshire, graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Southampton in 2007. She started her career by travelling to Ghana to work as a physiotherapist within a hospital setting whilst also spending time working with the local football academy. Whilst there, she found her Physio skills were of a greater benefit than she thought (hoped) as she came back with a fractured ankle! Once she was back in the UK and up on two feet again, Sarah moved to Milton Keynes to work in the NHS where she covered a wide range of rotations including orthopaedics, hydrotherapy and musculoskeletal outpatients. After three years in MK, Sarah felt the need for some excitement so travelled to South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand to experience new cultures and a warmer climate! On her return, Sarah decided to brave the big city where she joined Enfield NHS trust to specialise and develop her musculoskeletal skills. Sarah has always been super keen runner, be it 5km round the block, cross country running or marathons. Since moving to London this has led her to take part in many duathlons, triathlons and marathons! She is again in training for next year’s London marathon. Sarah loves outdoor activities and can often be found on the North Cornish Coast surfing, be it sun or snow. Sarah has completed her APPI Pilates matwork course and combines this with all things physio to get an all-round better treatment.
