Baseline Physiotherapy

Nikki McLaughlin Bsc (Hons) MCSP, HPC, ACPSM, AACP, HND Biomedical Science Nikki qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Wales college of Medicine (UWCM). Since qualifying he has been employed by Swansea NHS Trust and Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust (two of Wales’s largest Trusts) building relationships with consultants, other health professionals and developing his career. In addition to working in the NHS, he hs worked for the WRU with the Young Ospreys and Gwent Dragons rugby. Nikki can formulate treatment programmes with a holistic approach to rehabilitation, which has proved effective in increasing patient’s successful return to baseline functional levels. Nikki has been involved in playing rugby all his life, which combined with his extensive sporting physiotherapy experience has equipped him with the necessary skills to assess and treat both amateur and elite athletes.

Rebekah qualified from Cardiff University with first class honours in Science in Physiotherapy and is currently studying for her Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy

Since graduating, she has gone on to assist with teams such as Beddau RFC, Welsh Deaf Rugby, and Gwent Dragons, as well as working with Disability Sport Wales, Wales U19 Netball Squad and providing personalised treatment plans for the Junior Welsh Archers. She has also organised injury prevention seminars to Caerphilly Cycling club and Caerphilly runners, both of whom she works closely with.

She has a special interest in the degenerative nerve disease Charcot Marie Tooth, has worked with the US based CMTAssociation to make a video series on exercise and CMT and has ongoing projects with the UK based CMTUK charity, providing information, support and advice to people affected by it globally.

Rebekah is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the Health Profession Council (HPC) and is also listed with all major insurance companies including AXA and BUPA. Rebekah is also a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sport and Exercise Medicine, the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health & Ergonomics and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
