Upon returning home, Mick entered into the private and sports injury industry, where his true passion lies. He has been involved with local GAA, soccer and rugby clubs throughout the county. He has been the Louth minor and U21 physio and has also worked at the prestigious international underage soccer tournament the MILK Cup.

To further develop his skills he gained international experience with a year spent in Australia and the USA. With these countries to the forefront with research and development it allowed Mick to hone his skills particularly in the area of the knee, ankle, hamstring and lower back injuries.

He recently completed his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in UCD. This really enhanced his clinical skills and brought him up-to-date with all the latest research. Ultimately allowing him to practice an elite international level.

Outside of physiotherapy Mick is an accomplished athlete. He has represented Louth GAA at all ages and has established himself a permanent fixture on the Louth senior football team for the past 7 years. He appreciates the difficulties encountered by patients presenting with injuries. Mick believes he can draw on his own experiences as an athlete and his own experience of injury to both prevent and treat these types of injuries.

What a great experience

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

Robbie Smyth and the Physio Performance team were great. I had a long term achilles tendon problem. When I first attended the clinic Robbie said that I might even need surgery. However, with the correct treatment, exercises and gym work I am now nearly 100%. It took nearly a year to rehabilitate but with the treatment and a lot of hard work in the gym, I was eventually able to run the Dublin City Marathon last October. What a great experience. Thanks Robbie.

I can now enjoy life!

5 50 Back Pain Treatment • Paid: €40

I have been attending Micks clinic since he started in Drogheda several years ago I am over 70 and was in bad back pain, lower joints had become very stiff and painful and I was having great dificulty walking after 2 sessions I was walking upright and the pain was almost gone I attend Physio Performance 2 or 3 times a year as needed and can now enjoy life including gardening, walking and cycling and would recommend them to anyone in pain.

I have attended several Physio's over the years and I found that Micks knowledge and his professional way of treating a patient to be excellent his aftercare including working out exercise programs is second to none.

Very pleased overall

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation • Paid: €40

yes

I was very impressed with the professionalism of Mick. He was able to identify the cause of my lower back pain straight away. I've had two sessions and I've started back in the gym already. Very pleased overall.
