About Archview Physiotherapy Pain and Sports Injury Clinic

Archview physiotherapy clinic was established in 2008. We have a team of eight chartered physiotherapists on staff. Four of which work off site providing physiotherapy for respite centres, nursing homes, sports clubs and home visits. At Archview we offer dry needling, orthotic prescription and kinesio-taping as an additional service to our customers. Our team on-site specialise in the treatment of sports injuries, muscle and joint pain, spinal injuries, neurological complaints, headaches, ergonomic issues, sports massage and much more. We also run pilates classes weekly which are instructed by chartered physiotherapists.  We are currently running a special offer of 60 minute treatment sessions for €50 -ideal with those that have multiple problem areas or if you would simple prefer to book for a sports massage.We are covered by all major health insurance companies.

Lynsey McGovern

Biography:

Lynsey McGovern BSc. (Hons). Physio MISCP Lynsey McGovern owns and manages Archview Physiotherapy Pain and Sports Injury Clinic. She Graduated from University College Dublin in 2002.  After graduating, Lynsey spent two years working in the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire before venturing into the world of private practise. Lynsey gained valuable experience in dealing with neurological and musculoskeletal injuries. Lynsey furthered her training in dry needling, orthotic prescription and clinical Pilates. From 2004-2006 she provided her services to Athletics Ireland-covering games at home and abroad for the Irish Junior and Senior Athletics Team. Lynsey was the Chief Physiotherapist for the Irish Ladies Women’s Tennis Open in 2005. Lynsey has a passion for dealing with complicated myofascial problems which can be associated with musclo-skeletal and neuro-muscluar injuries. Lynsey wrote an article on myofascial pain ( muscle pain) which was published in the Chronic Pain Association of Ireland in 2009. Lynsey divides her time between treating patients, managing her clinic and providing training for physiotherapists.

Paul Lambe

Biography:

Paul Lambe B.Sc. (Physio) completed his Physiotherapy degree in University College Dublin in 2011. Following this, Paul was offered a place on the full time Sports and Exercise Medicine Masters in Trinity College and currently, in his spare time, he is putting the finishing touches on his thesis in which he compared the benefits of 8-weeks high-intensity interval training to 8-weeks of lactate-threshold training in club-level Irish triathletes.

He presented his research at the 2012 Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine Annual Scientific Conference and won first prize in the poster presentation category. He also presented research at the 2011 Rehabilitation and Therapy Research Society s annual conference.

Paul has a keen interest in treating musculoskeletal sports injuries and has worked for multiple sports teams and at numerous sporting events. He is currently the team physiotherapist for Blackrock College RFC U21s and Old Wesley RFC J3/J4s rugby teams and provides both weekly clinics and match coverage to treat and rehabilitate injured players. During the summer of 2012 Paul was the physiotherapist for the Meath Ladies Football team and also took part in an internship with the Leinster U19s and U20s rugby teams in which he gained valuable experience regarding the demands of high level athletes.

He has completed a course in dry needling and has attended a number of conferences on the subject of musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation therapy and sports & exercise medicine. He likes to keep up to date with current research and doesnt shy away from difficult cases.

Puneet Mathur

Biography:

Puneet Mathur B.Sc. (Physio) graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences (RGUHS), India with a BSc. degree in Physiotherapy. Puneet is a member of the ISCP and the Indian Association of Physiotherapy. Since qualifying Puneet has worked in 3 different general hospitals. While working he developed his skills in neuro-rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, spinal Injuries, cardio-thoracic physiotherapy, paediatrics, neuro-developmental therapy and Care of the Elderly. He has attended work- shops on manual therapy, manual handling, therapeutic handling and CPR.

Puneet joined the team at Archview Physiotherapy Clinic in 2010 as a neuro-physiotherapist. In this role he provides physiotherapy for stroke and neurological injuries to a wide range of locations including Cheshire Ireland, The Childrens Sunshine Home and residential homes. He has a keen interest in stroke rehabilitation, Neurological conditions, Paediatrics and care of the elderly.
