Karen graduated with her Masters Degree in Osteopathy, from the BSO in 2012. She has been working in Brisbane, Australia since February 2013 and after 5 years has returned to the UK with the ambition to further her paediatric experience by taking the 2 year Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London.

Karen enjoys seeing patients of all ages, from newborn up. She has a lot of experience working with those patients with long-term symptoms whether related to posture, over-use, pregnancy, or other causes. Karen has also taken a particular interest in treating patients with headaches.

During treatment Karen may utilise soft tissue massage, joint articulation and mobilisation, dry needling and cranio-sacral therapy techniques.

Ralf  joined THE RICHARDS’ CENTRE TEAM in 2012 and combines his time with a successful clinic in Germany. With German technology at the forefront of innovative products in Chiropody and Podiatry, this provides THE RICHARDS CENTRE with an ideal opportunity to vet, select, and introduce those we consider to be beneficial to our patients. Ralf’s wide experience of alternative cultures and practice, together with his skills and qualifications in Acupuncture, Homoeopathy and Podiatry,  provides the best in both conventional and complementary medicine, giving a wider choice and a more effective treatment for his many patients. Ralf also provides our ‘Home Visiting Service’ providing routine footcare for patients in their own home. In THE RICHARDS’ CENTRE,  as well as routine foot care, Ralf offers Nail Surgery, for ingrown toenails and Bio mechanic assessments for both adults and children.

I like podiatry, because the job is very varied. In a typical clinic day, I may treat people with sports injuries, gait problems, I may do a surgery for ingrown toenails, treat patients with painful warts,  or simply look after people’s nails and hard skin. What I particularly enjoy is the contact with patients, and how often podiatric treatments can help people get rid of their discomfort and pain, or simply make their feet feel and look great.

Ben Pieniazek - BSc(Hons)M.Ost

Ben qualified as an Osteopath from the BSO in 2010, achieving a distinction level grade. He previously graduated from Bristol University in 2005 with a BSc degree in Anatomical Sciences. Ben participates in a wide range of sporting activities when his young daughter affords him the time!

Ben really enjoys the variety and challenges that working with patients brings. He is keen that people understand the reasons behind their pain/symptoms and encourages them to take control of their condition with self management techniques and tailored lifestyle advice alongside in-depth treatment.

Ben is practising and developing his interest in functional neurology, a method of diagnosis and treatment which can help patients suffering from all manner of chronic musculoskeletal problems. He also offers Dry Needling, a natural method of relieving pain and musculoskeletal dysfunction

Lek is registered with IPTI (Independent Professional Therapists International) and is fully insured.
She completed her massage training in 2005 at both the world renowned Wat Po Traditional Medical school and the Chetawan Traditional Massage School in Bangkok.
For a number of years she worked under the direction of ward doctors, within Nakornthon hospital in Bangkok, providing a massage facility for patients with a large variety of medical problems, from Dialysis to Diabetes and including pregnant women and babies. During this time Lek also increased her expertise with a variety of courses and ‘in situ’ training.

Lek has been in the UK for a number of years, returning in 2014 to massage after a short break. Since then she has worked mainly within a Spa environment, providing massage and aromatherapy treatments to clients. We are delighted that Lek has joined the team at the Richard’s Centre.

From January she will be offering both Thai Massage and Massage with oils. For the whole of January only there will be £5 off a 1 Hour massage and £7.50 off a 1½ Hour 

M.Ost - Registered Osteopath

Naomi graduated from ICOM (International College of Osteopathic Medicine) with a first class degree in Osteopathy, she is also a qualified Sports Massage Therapist with a diploma in dry needling, and often combines these to compliment her osteopathic treatments. 

Naomi enjoys horse riding and walking in her spare time so understands the importance of a quick recovery, she will work to treat the symptoms as well as helping to remove any contributing factors to help prevent re-injury.

Naomi had been associated with THE RICHARDS' CENTRE for many years, both as a patient and student.

BSc (Hons) Podiatry MChS HCPC Registered - Chiropodist/Podiatrist

After a decade working with vulnerable older people Fleur realised the huge impact good footcare has on people's quality of live, so became a Podiatrist.

When training with the NHS she focused on high risk wound care, fall prevention and vascular issues associated with the lower extremity.

She graduated from the University of Brighton with a first class honours degree and a staff award for kindness towards peers and lecturers.

Fleur prides herself on her holistic approach to care and values patients as unique individuals.

As a mother of two children she is happy treating younger patients that may be nervous.

Fleur is working towards becoming a dementia champion, and has a particular interest in how neurological conditions affect the lower limb.

Since graduating she has worked in the private sector treating a wide range of podiatric complaints, including nailcare and removal of hard skin, bio mechanical assessments, orthotic prescription, innovative fungal nail and verruca treatments and treatment of ingrowing toenails.

Ear Wax Removal Specialist - BSc (HONS) Biomedical Science & Pharmacology 

Mr Paul is an experienced Ear Wax Removal Specialist, having trained under an ENT Consultant, he has built a diverse client portfolio, with patients ranging from 12 years to over 90.

He prides himself on being patient focused, providing the best service for every individual patient. Using the most up to date and advanced methods of wax extraction such as the Gold Standard Micro-suction and low pressure, Irrigation, Sakib proudly boasts a 100% patient satisfaction rate.

As a private practitioner, he is affiliated and provides the ear wax removal service for GP Practices across London, Surrey and Sussex.

Podiatrist - BSc (HONS) Podiatry MCsH HCPC Registered Chiropodist/Podiatrist

Abbi joined us after over 20 years working in the NHS.  As well as mentoring and training, Abbi also specialised in Nail Surgery, leading the team in Brighton.

We are delighted that, like many other people, lockdown caused a change of perspective, hence her decision to leave the NHS.

Abbi will be covering all aspects of Chiropody & Podiatry with us, routine and specialised as well as home visiting.

MOst Registered Osteopath - GOsC 

Ashley qualified from the ESO (European School of Osteopathy) in Maidstone, Kent, with a masters degree, after 4 years of osteopathic training, where he learnt structural and functional approaches of osteopathy.

To compliment the osteopathic approach, Ashley has achieved diplomas in sports massage and dry needling to use alongside osteopathic treatment when appropriate.

Ashley enjoys the unique challenges that patients present along with providing a personalised treatment and management plan to fit their specific needs.

Ashley has competed at county level 400 metre and 800 metre competitions around the UK and trained alongside international athletes. Ashley also has a coaching background in athletics and also enjoys taking part in other sports such as football and gold.

Sports Massage Therapist - BTEC LSSM

Helen has recently joined THE RICHARDS' CENTRE team as an experienced Sports Massage Therapist, she already has a long list of clients! Helen finished her level 5 diploma with the LSSM (London School of Massage Therapy) in 2017.

Prior to her training, Helen was a Personal Trainer and gym instructor.

She expertly treats a variety of people with diverse injuries, helping with the stresses on muscles causing aches and pains.

Helen has also worked at various sporting events.

Reflexologist - ITEC MAR

The ancient healing art of Reflexology has been known to man for thousands of years.  The early Indian, Chinese and Egyptian people first practiced it, discovering that the systems of the body were reflected or 'mirrored' on the soles of the feet from the smallest cell to the largest organ.

Now considered an 'adjunct' to modern medicine, Reflexology is widely used for a variety of health issues.

First visits include a medical case history, details of your current problem and treatment.  Once Hayley has this information she will begin treatment with a firm, relaxing massage of each foot.  She then uses her fingers and thumbs, applying pressure to minute points on the feet, which correspond to different areas and organs in the body.  This pressure creates a stimulating effect which positively affects physical, mental and emotional ailments.

Reflexology works on a similar principle to acupuncture, but without needles and the pressure used helps to identify problem areas and release tension.

Reflexology isn't painful and is often described as 'very relaxing'. Response can be rapid and energising.
