The process was very efficient and I was in the hands of very competent people. That the have a person to take care of foreign patients, is a brilliant idea. And Mr. Alisher Durdyyev was excellent. I was happy about everything I encountered here, and I'll be back in December.

Total joint prosthesis aims to stabilize the joint by replacing the damaged joint surface with artificial materials and to eliminate existing pain. In recent years, total joint prosthesis practices having increasingly been performed in our country as in the whole world. The joints where prosthetic surgery is mostly performed are knee and hip prostheses. It is also frequently used in the treatment of deformations in the cartilage surfaces of the joints due to arthritis, infections, rheumatic diseases, trauma, or congenital structural disorders. We perform general anesthesia or local anesthesia (spinal and/or epidural) for our hip and knee replacement surgeries. We take the choices jointly with our patients. Generally, within the first 48 hours after prosthesis surgery, we get our patients to stand up and walk.

Dr Fahri’s experience, reputation and expertise on hip surgeries played a role in my family’s decision along with recommendations they had. I was hospitalised and suffering serious trauma when Dr. Fahri operated me. It took me a while to heal and leave the hospital, and I remember Dr. Fahri checking on me regularly. It has been 4 years and I am healed with all my injuries from the accident, including my broken hip. I can spend my days like I never had the accident. I thank God, Dr. Fahri and all doctors involved in my treatment everyday for giving me a second chance in life. Knee prosthesis is the removal of the worn parts of the cartilage and some of the bone underneath, providing the normal axis of the knee joint and placing various metals in the joint.
