Carolyn is the newest team member, having joined St. Michaels Orthodontics in October 2008. Carolyn qualified with Honours as a dentist in 2001 from Newcastle Dental School. She continued her training in Scotland with hospital posts in Maxillo-Facial surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. In 2008, Carolyn completed a 3 year Specialist Training in Orthodontics, gaining a Master of Science in Orthodontics with distinction (2008) and Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (2008). In 2008, she became a Specialist Orthodontist with an interest in the alignment of impacted teeth . She is currently registered (reg.nr. 79437) on the specialist list for Orthodontists at the General Dental Council (http://www.gdc-uk.org).

Catherine graduated from Dental School at Queens University Belfast in 1988. She commenced her specialist training in Orthodontics at Leeds Dental Institute in 1993. After this she teamed up with her partner, now husband, Joe, to build and develop St. Michaels Family Dental Practice and St. Michaels Orthodontics which opened in 1998. She gained her specialist qualification in 1996 and is currently registered (reg.nr. 63428) on the specialist list for Orthodontists at the General Dental Council (http://www.gdc-uk.org).Catherine is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society (http://www.bos.org.uk) and the World Federation of Orthodontists (http://www.wfo.org).
As a mother of two young children, Catherine relates well to young patients. She also has a keen interest in adult orthodontics with the use of more cosmetic braces. Catherine is an Invisalign® certified practitioner.

Helen graduated from Leeds Dental Institute in 1975. She then worked in Community Dental Services and has gained a lot of experience in dealing with special needs and very anxious patients. She completed a four year Orthodontic Training Programme at Mid Yorkshire Hospital, Wakefield and has gained further Orthodontic training in specialist practice. She has been working in St. Michaels orthodontic practice since September 2000. Helen has a keen interest in all aspects of orthodontics but has a particular interest in management of patients who have missing teeth. She combines her training in general dentistry with her orthodontic knowledge to give patients a more ideal cosmetic result.Helen is registered (reg.nr. 48714) with the General Dental Council (http://www.gdc-uk.org).
