Biography:
Dr Lavrin grew up in both Melbourne and Hong Kong and received his dental education at the University of Adelaide. He then worked as a general dentist in Melbourne and Warrandyte. Furthering his expertise, Dr Lavrin completed a 3 year orthodontic specialist programme and Masters at Harvard University, USA. Numerous awards for scholastic and clinical excellence have been received by Dr Lavrin and he has published articles in the orthodontic and scientific literature. He has worked in private Orthodontic practice in Massachusetts, USA, lectured internationally in the US, Canada and Asia, and has taught orthodontics to dental students at Harvard University.
Dr Lavrin has taught in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Melbourne and is on the Editorial Board of the Australian Orthodontic Journal. He holds professional memberships in the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the Australian Dental Association, the World Dental Federation, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontics, and the Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics. He is a past President of the Harvard Club of Australia (Victoria) and a past Federal Treasurer of the Australian Society of Orthodontists. Dr Lavrin is a certified member of the Australian Orthodontic Board and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Biography:
Dr Sarah Lawrence originally grew up in New Zealand and graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with honours. Upon graduation, Dr Lawrence worked in private and hospital practice as a General Dentist. She spent two years in the United Kingdom as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Returning to Australia, Dr Lawrence completed her three-year specialist Orthodontic training at the University of Melbourne.
Dr Lawrence has experience in treating patients with craniofacial anomalies including Cleft Lip and Palate as well as medically compromised patients. She has lectured in Australia and New Zealand and has taught orthodontics at the University of Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Children’s Hospital. She holds professional memberships in the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontists and is a certified member of the Australian Orthodontic Board.
