Dr. Ankur
Garg

Enamored
by surgery even as a young & enthusiastic medical student, he dedicatedly
set himself out to pursue his profession. He graduated (MBBS) in the year 2002
from the prestigious
Government Medical College, Aurangabad. During this
period he bagged many accolades for his earnestness and aptitude. In the year
2004, he was awarded as the
‘Best Resident in General Surgery’ and subsequently
in the year 2005, he was conferred upon the honor of
‘Best Trauma Resident
in Surgery’ from the
University of Mumbai.
Thereafter
he completed his MS, General Surgery Residency Program in the year 2007 from
the Lok Manya Tilak, Municipal Medical College, Mumbai. In the year 2008, he successfully secured
his Senior Residency with India’s pioneering Hospital in Liver & Biliary – Institute
of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi. From the year 2008
through till 2013, he had a long association with ILBS, where he learnt an
amalgamation of skills and academic structures. He built on his clinical and
research acumen and gained managerial skills of the corporate world. In the
same year, he achieved the
Fellowship of the
European Board of Surgery
(FEBS) from Vienna,
Austria.
In the
year 2013, he successfully completed his super specialization-
M.Ch HPB & Liver Transplant
, from ILBS, and thereby acclaimed his position as India’s foremost super
specialist and attained the honor by the former President of India- Late Dr. A.P.J.
Abdul Kalam Azad.
Apart
from his exceptional clinical and surgical expertise
Dr. Ankur Garg has
proven excellence in Patient Care & Management. During his association with
corporate sector for last 3 years, he has been instrumental in setting up and
successful running of the Liver Transplant Unit of BLK Super Specialty
Hospital, New Delhi.
