An absolute fantastic doctor, amazing care and a thoroughly lovely person to deal with. Dr Kalkur will make you feel completely comfortable no matter what you medical issue is, he has the most sincere bed side manner that I have known for a doctor. I have had a full hysterectomy and have limited scarring, I can confirm my operation was done with the highest care so that I can still wear a bikini with confidence. My procedure was explained fully to me and I didn't feel rushed in any way when we had our appointments, there was plenty of time for me to ask questions and he has a great team around him.

I can’t quite begin to put into words just how much Dr K has got me through the last 2.5 years - I suffer with extreme health anxiety and have been under Dr Ks care for an adverse smear result with further complications that eventually required a procedure last summer.

Dr K went above and beyond to ensure I always felt safe, reassured and thoroughly understood each step of the way during this frightening experience for me.

Dr Kalkur has honestly given me my life back! I have suffered with gynaecological issues since 2003 and following a Laparoscopy, was told I had Endometriosis. I then developed Adenymosis in 2021. I was under the care of a different Gynaecologist and I wasn’t getting any advice or help. I turned to Dr Kalkur and I am so pleased I did. He listened to me. He advised of a few different options including mini pill and coil, but as Adenymosis is progressive, I chose the Full Hysterectomy route. I am SO pleased I did. Recovery has been smooth going. The anxiety and build up was definitely worse than the procedure and recovery.

Mr Kalkur performed an open myomectomy to remove fibroids. He has a brilliant bed-side manner. He gave clear explanations and reassurance at every step. I was well-informed of my condition, all options available to me, and all steps leading to and after surgery. Mr Kalkur is very sympathetic and sensitive to the needs of patients and is very kind and patient. All hospital staff I encountered also held him in very high esteem.

Mr. Kalkur’s knowledge about the menopause and gynecology issues made me feel so secure and safe and put my mind at rest from the very first consultation. Mr. Kalkur insists that you as the patient receive a first class service and you really can feel how he cares, he has real empathy and kindness. He goes above and beyond to ensure that you fully understand everything that is happening, why and what your options are. I always felt comfortable and never felt rushed or pressured.

Once I received my results and met Mr. Kalkur, we discussed, over a period of time the options available to me and what the various outcomes and journeys would be for each option. I made the decision to have a full laparoscopic hysterectomy, followed by an HRT program, tailored to me and my personal circumstances and needs.

Mr. Kalkur is a fantastic surgeon, my surgery at The Spire Wellesley went so well and Mr. Kalkur came to see me every day, ensuring that I was happy and recovering well and that I was receiving the best care.

It has been 2 months since my hysterectomy, and I can honestly say that Mr. Kalkur has helped to improve the quality of my life. I feel so much better already and so lucky to have had Mr. Kalkur as my consultant and surgeon.

I was extremely nervous but from the moment I walked through to reception and was collected to go to my room, I felt cared for and at ease. The nurses were so wonderful, full of empathy and kindness. My surgeon Mr. Kalkur was amazing. Although the last thing I thought about was eating I have to say the food was so good and this one simple thing helped with my recovery and rebuilding my strength. My room was nice and private which was perfect and was also a bonus for my family and friends when they visited with lots of flowers. Following my surgery, I have had 2 physiotherapy appointments with more to come, which I wasn't expecting after a Hysterectomy, but has been a great support and has helped me to understand my recovery and how to get the best out of my body following surgery for a happy and healthy future.

I had fibroids that were causing me to bleed irregularly, so I was referred to see Mr Kalkur. I was seen 1st at my own surgery, then I had 1 operation, to remove the fibroids, and replace my coil. At the 1st operation they were not able to remove all of the fibroid, so I was given injections to shrink the rest, and then bring me back for a second op. This was followed up a few months later, with the successful removal of the remaining fibroid, and the insertion of a new coil. Dr Kulkur kept me informed every step of the way, and was marvellous! I have recently been seen again, and discharged back to my GP.

The experience was really good, and I felt that my Doctor really cared about me as a patient.

His diagnosis was swift and accurate but he also encouraged me to be fully involved in the overall decision from the treatment options provided. Throughout the process, his dedication to my welfare was absolute and he would "go the extra mile" to ensure my best possible interests.

Importantly, in the context of examination procedures, he is extremely caring and sensitive to the pain avoidance and comfort of the patient, which was very reassuring.

In my experience Mr Kalkur is a brilliant consultant. He was very generous with his time, he was friendly, empathetic, he really listened to me and explored all of my problems in a way no other doctor or gynaecologist has. I felt very much at ease with him and he ensured that I was happy with every procedure he carried out. He also made himself available via email which I found extremely comforting as this meant he would answer any queries I had in between appointments directly and very quickly. I believe this to be far beyond his call of duty. Mr.Kalkur diagnosed my problem and treated it immediately. This was after three years of other doctors dismissing my symptoms. Mr.Kalkur also combined three procedures in one which was really efficient and much less stressful and time consuming for me. My surgical scars are the neatest and smallest I have ever seen - which I am sure is thanks to his care and attention. I therefore highly recommend Mr.Kalkur.

The Wellesley is a lovely hospital. Mr.Kalkur and all of the nurses were very caring, professional and attentive. Appointments were regularly avaliable and there were no long waiting times upon arrival.
