Myheadspace was set up by John Philbin with the aim of offering a professional complementary healthcare service accessible to people working in central London.

I believe that Western medicine has a fundamental role to play in treating illness. I also believe that complementary therapies have an important role in managing our health, by empowering patients to take control of their health and lifestyle to reach optimal health.

I have been a practising complementary health therapist for 15 years. Prior to this I worked in the City for a large oil company for over 10 years. My experience in complementary healthcare has given me the opportunity to work with many high profile organisations and charities. I have worked with The Complementary Health Trust at various hospitals, hospices and clinics in and around central London. Most of this time was spent working alongside patients with immune related illnesses. For a number of years I was a therapist at London Lighthouse, now part of the Terence Higgins Trust in West London. I have also worked for two 5 star Spas, The Mandarin Oriental Knightsbridge and The Dorchester, Park Lane.  

In 2007 I set up practice in Covent Garden, my patients are local workers with various stress related conditions, fertility issues, digestive problems, RSI, backpain etc. I have a keen interest in how acupuncture can help with stress related illness in the workplace and the integration of acupuncture for the treatment of infertility. I continue to attend regular workshops and courses to keep me updated on current trends within complementary health care.
