Physio at Work Ltd. was established in 2003 as an independent private practice. We have clinics situated in the West End of London as well as on-site clinics within corporate organisations.

Physio at Work Ltd. provides physiotherapy and ergonomic consultancy services to private, commercial and government organisations. We specialise in treating work-related injuries and advising on injury prevention. Our services include:

Biography:

Registered with the Health Professions Council Bronwyn is the managing director of Physio at Work Ltd. She graduated in physiotherapy from the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand in 1996 and worked in the public sector before relocating to London in 1998.Bronwyn completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Ergonomics from the University of Surrey in 2001.She has since worked as an Occupational Health Physiotherapist and Ergonomics Consultant for various industries including television, healthcare, finance, and Parliament. Her work has involved providing on-site physiotherapy, DSE training, manual handling training, back care awareness classes and general ergonomic training/advice.As a physiotherapist Bronwyn specialises in treating work-related musculo skeletal disorders, primarily repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and back pain.Bronwyn served as the Publicity Officer for the executive committee of the Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE) for 4 years.She continues to assist the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy with media campaigns surrounding work related disorders such as back pain and Repetitive Strain injury (RSI)

Sofia Cunha

Biography:
Sofia completed her BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from the Superior School of Health of Vale do Sousa, Portugal. She worked in both the NHS and private practice in Portugal before traveling to the UK. Since her arrival Sofia has primarily worked as an on-site
physiotherapist in Occupational Health Departments within corporate organisations. A ‘hands on’ physiotherapist, Sofia is also currently completing a degree in Osteopathy. She is trained in pilates and frequently incorporates pilates based exercises in her rehabilitation programmes for clients. She enjoys treating all musculo-skeletal conditions, however as a trained classical ballerina, she has a special interest in treating dance injuries especially foot and ankle problems.
Sofia is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, also speaks ‘a little’ French and Italian. She enjoys dance classes and amateur dramatics in her spare time.

Ms Emma Weaver

Biography:
Emma graduated in 2005 with a Honours degree from the University of the West of England and went on to complete two years in the NHS focusing on musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She then moved to New Zealand working in private practice for a Sports Injury
Clinic and Medical Centre. During this time she had the opportunity to work with elite athletes including tri-athletes, tennis players and the All Blacks rugby team at a international level. She also worked with the New Zealand Ice Hockey Team with international golfers at the PGA New Zealand Open. Emma assisted with the development and opening of the Adidas Soccer Academy for youth players promoting injury prevention and body awareness for children starting their sporting careers. On returning to the UK she has continued in private practice treating sports injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal injuries. She has a keen interest in spinal manual therapy, biomechanical assessments and injuries of the nervous system. She is also qualified in Acupuncture and uses this in combination with manual therapy to provide an individualised treament program.

 Registered with the Health Professions Council. Dino graduated from the Auckland University of Technology in 2001 after a very elaborate sporting upbringing.After spending 5 years working in Private Practice in New Zealand, which included travelling with a premier football club, Dino came to London as part of his traditional Kiwi overseas experience.He specialises in treating musculoskeletal complaints with a special interest in sports and spinal injuries. He also has an interest in treating work related complaints such as Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI).In his spare time, Dino enjoys, sporting, recreational and travel activities, in particular squash, gold, scuba diving, fishing and tramping.

Mr Chris Schafer

Registered with the Health Professions Council, Member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. Chris qualified in 1992 with a Podiatry BSc(Hons). He has been practicing podiatry in both the NHS and private sectors for the past 15 years. Chris specialises in musculo-skeletal podiatry assessing the mechanics of normal and problematic gait. He enjoys treating sports injuries and making custom made foot orthotics. He is a keen runner having run 5 marathons, and is experienced in training techniques to improve running efficiency as well as treating injuries.

Mr Brian Swanton

Brian trained at St.Mary’s University, Twickenham in sports & remedial massage, with further specialization in sports injuries and sports therapy. He is an experienced therapist having worked with various elite athletes at international level.Brian was a Great Britain champion in Irish dance and held a World ranking of No.3. He turned professional in 1996 performing with Riverdance - The Show.He has worked in dance and theatre touring companies as a sports massage therapist and in sports injury clinics in London since 2002.
