Reviewed 16 November 2016 "Clean, inviting and had a lovely relaxing feel"
"The treatment was very interesting. I didn't know what to expect, but I keep an open mind. The therapist was nice enough but she kept yawning during the treatment and I found this off-putting. She did however, seem to come up with things that were accurate. I think that I will have to see if I get results in order to say whether it was worth the money. She also said that she would email me some stuff last night but has not so far. The reception staff were friendly and organised. The clinic reception downstairs was clean, inviting and had a lovely relaxing feel. The treatment room was quite small but clean."

Reviewed 30 August 2016 "I already feel so much better after my first Osteopath Consultation"
"I am more than happy with my experience there. People were very welcoming. The therapist took the time to listen to my issues, define the problems and talk about the solutions. She managed to find where the problems were and in just 1h session, I already feel so much better. Her attitude was very professional and very gentle as well.

I already booked an appointment for next month. I highly recommend this place to anyone!"

Tui Na is one of the best ways of achieving balance in the body. A Casual observer watching a session sees what appears to be a thorough workout for the soft tissues and joints, but the practitioner aims to do more than this. Attention is focused on meridians and selected Acu-points points.

What can Tui Na help me with?

In China, Tui Na is used for conditions that, in the West, would be treated by osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists or with drugs. Tui Na treats chronic pain, especially that caused by muscle-skeletal conditions and injuries. Neck, shoulder and back pain and immobility, sciatica and ‘tennis elbow’ all respond very well.

Tui Na can also treat headaches, migraines, IBS, constipation, PMS and a whole range of emotional problems.
It is a very vigorous massage; every technique requires movement as well as pressure, After the first session you may feel a little sore but after two or three more most people adjust to the deep pressure.

Hot Stone Massage

Quote "WhatClinic" for 20% Off Your 1st Session At The Fairlee Wellbeing Centre

Stone massage is a therapy that uses hot and cold stones. The therapist uses his hands to transfer the hot or cold from the stone to the client’s body. When the client is used to the temperature, the therapist use the stone to massage with. If the muscle needs more relaxing the therapist would leave a hot stone on the area for a deeper effect. The application of warmed and cooled river rocks, combined with manual massage, provides a deeply relaxing, therapeutic experience.

As a contemporary therapy, Stone massage was introduced to the world of Spa treatments by Mary Nelson in 1993. The therapeutic use of stones and rocks has, however, been employed for thousands of years in various forms. Stone therapy respects nature and uses its strengths to make the treatment the most wonderful and healing therapy that there is.

What is Osteopathy and Cranial Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine which focuses on total body health by releasing tissue tension, thus restoring balance to the musculoskeletal framework. The Osteopath uses a combination of massage, stretching and joint manipulation techniques to relieve pain by relaxing muscles, improving circulation and calming nervous system function.

Cranial Osteopathy is a refined and subtle type of osteopathic treatment that uses very gentle manipulative pressure to encourage the release of stresses throughout the body, including the head. It is can be helpful in treating a wide range of conditions in people of all ages, from birth to old age.

Acupuncture Treatment (45 mins)

Quote "WhatClinic" for 20% Off Your 1st Session At The Fairlee Wellbeing Centre

Acupuncture is the procedure of inserting and manipulating needles into various points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes.

Research has shown that acupuncture stimulates the brain to produce endorphins (which are natural pain relieving chemicals.) These assist the body to heal itself and gain pain relief. There is increasing scientific evidence to support the effects of acupuncture.

Our therapists are trained to maintain the strictest hygiene levels and will only use pre-sterilised, disposable needles.

Inserting the fine needles can give rise to a sensation which should only be a temporary mild discomfort at the most.

Sometimes a more intense sensation is experienced, representing a positive indication of energy movement and is nothing to worry about.

Acupuncture may help you overcome and manage a wide range of symptoms, including:

  • Fertility problems
  • IVF
  • Back and neck pains
  • Nerve pains
  • Sports injuries

    What is Psychotherapy/Counselling?

Therapy takes place within the relationship between you and your therapist, in a controlled framework, outside of the usual social conventions. Psychotherapists will not generally reveal personal details or opinions, nor attempt to provide direct solutions to your problems. Rather, they aim to provide a safe space for you to explore your concerns and gain clarity and insight into your thoughts, emotions and behaviour.

One of the benefits of therapy is that you are working with someone who is skilled in helping you find the root of the problem and guiding you to your own innate strengths. Another is that working with someone removed from your family, friends and colleagues means that you do not have to entertain them, protect them from your painful experiences or even allow feelings of shame to prevent you from expressing yourself. Here the focus is on you, how your experiences have affected you and how you create meaning in your life.

Here the focus is on you, how your experiences have affected you and how you create meaning in your life.

To address a specific concern, you may want to engage in a short-term piece of work lasting 8-12 weekly sessions.

However, the problem is not always apparent: there may just be a general sense that things are not right. In this case it is a worthwhile investment in your wellbeing to commit to a year or more of weekly sessions.

Your therapy is confidential. This confidentiality is strictly observed by your therapist and will only be broken in extreme circumstances, such as if the welfare of a child is in question or if there is threat of serious harm to self or others. This is a rare occurrence and in such situations every attempt is made to speak to you about it first.

    What is EMDR?

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a form of therapy that is extremely effective and efficient at dealing with traumatic memories and allowing your mind and body to process them, thus freeing you from the painfu
