About The Physiotherapy Centre

There is easy parking and access to private consulting rooms; a hydrotherapy pool and a gym, all in comfortable surroundings, creating an ideal environment to set you on the road to recovery Our gym is situated at the back of The Physiotherapy Centre and is well equipped with a treadmill, rower, static bike etc. We also have other rehabilitation equipment such as wobble boards, parallel bars, wall bars, fitter, free weights and gym balls. Hi, I was recommended to go to this physio by a friend it was a long drive for me, but it was worth it to drive.

I had a bad skiing accident and I feel now so much better and even better than I felt before accident.

I would like to thank not only my physio but Susie on reception who keeps me up to date with appointments.

From the moment of my friendly reception to the completion of my appointment, I knew I was in very professional hands. I was listened to attentively, and questions were asked from that. The examination was
careful and gentle plus a FULL verbal and visual explanation of my condition and further information on how to achieve a personal outcome to aid the increase of my physicality. I am looking forward to my first session.

Went into the Physio centre for a running injury, I was seen by Joanna Hounsome who is amazing! Really listened to how this has affected me and really considered what would be the best way forward for me, Made me feel super comfortable and was so understanding when my sessions had come to an end. I left with great knowledge on how to continue the exercises at home.
All of the strengthening exercises worked so well that with just over 6 months of no running at all, I can now run a little bit and pain-free! Would highly recommend this fantastic service!

5 50 Sports Massage

Superb leg sports massage. Legs were in bits for next day but went for a slow plod in the evening and legs felt excellent. Next run out was my fastest 5k time to date. Next appointment booked for July will be an integeral part of my Marathon training.



Advised on stretches, other fitness training. The importance of core training as milage increases. Will make a difference to my training and the success of weight loss and mindset. Helpful staff and courteous.

Qualified as a Physiotherapist for 10 years. He qualified in 1994 in Ghent (Belgium). He has since worked for 5 years in the NHS where he gained experience mainly in Trauma and Orthopaedics, general musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and back rehabilitation. He has worked in the private sector for nearly 5 years and has recently become a partner at The Physiotherapy Centre. His clinical specialities are low back pain, muscular imbalances, general rehabilitation following fractures and soft tissue injuries such as ACL-reconstruction etc. Yves uses techniques such as manipulation, acupuncture and graded exercises . Completed her Physiotherapy qualification in 1990 at St Thomas’ Hospital.
