Castletroy Physiotherapy Clinic

Rating from 14 Reviews Invaluable guidanceWilliam, Ireland, 28 Jun 15

I had a sking accident in February and required ACL reconstruction surgery. Post surgery I developed a compressed disc from poor posture as I was not walking correctly and also received trearment for this condition. Treatment is ongoing and recovery is progressing very well thanks to the excellent treatment and supervision of my condition by Phyllis. I attended here and was given excellent treatment as well a clear advice on what I needed to do pre and post op. This guidance was invaluable and had me in great shape for the surgery. Now I am in post-op phase and getting superb treatment. The knowledge and experience Phyllis has is invaluable to a patient recovering in an unknown phase of treatment and she is very strong on setting realistic progress targets and keeping the patient focused on achieving them. I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment I received, the knowledge and expertise of the team and the supportive environment which really aids recovery and encourages me to improve.

Started treatment immediatelyMichelle, Ireland, 30 Nov 15

I was suffering with severe pain in my foot. It was getting progressively worse and I didn't know what it was. Castletroy Physiotherapy Clinic diagnosed it and started treatment immediately. I'm very happy with the treatment I am recieving. I used WhatClinic online and put in the details of the treatment I was looking for. Castletroy Physiotherapy Clinic responded first this the next day and had an appointment free. Very happy with their professionalism. Staff are lovely.

Rating from 5 Reviews I will definitely be going againCiara, Ireland, 09 Feb 16

Good - full body massage for an amazing price. 60 minutes. Excellent. Deep tissue massage but I was asked several times if I was happy with the pressure. It seemed as though they were using coconut oil so it didn't feel as luxurious as other places but it was acceptable considering the price. It's a no-frills set up - it appears to be just one room and a very small reception area - but the therapist was talented and I will definitely be going again. It was clean and welcoming. Low price parking outside.

I felt better after the massage and it improved my postureDanielle, Dublin, 05 Mar 16

The treatment is great and the prices are amazing. The masseuse is consistent and so I've returned to this place many times. I recommend it for everyone. I felt better after the massage and it improved my posture. On certain days of the week there is a 1 hour massage available for only €35. The clinic is nice, clean and relaxing. The place is located in Deansgrange with parking directly outside. There is usually music playing during the massage and its always nice and warm. There is a lovely smell also.

Lymph drainage massage is a very light, slow, rhythmical massage. The intension is to stimulate the lymph vessels that runjust below the skin and in many cases attach to the skin. Lymph drainagemassage drains excess fluids from the tissues returning them to the circulatorysystem. This means lymph drainage massage can help in many cases of fluidretention, from pregnancy, to injury. The lymph system is also a vital part ofyour immune system, meaning lymph drainage massage can stimulate your immunesystem during and after times of illness. It’s important in immunity, inflammation and healingin general, so an efficient lymphatic system is going to help in manyareas.  Lymphatic drainage is a way toachieve that efficiency. Skin care: For a clearer complexion and to lessenthe appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in facial tissue, as well as reducingpuffiness around the eyes. Old scar tissue can be reduced while the appearanceof new scars can be minimized. It’s commonly used before and after cosmeticsurgery. Detox: At the end of winter, or after a period ofhigh stress, the body will really benefit from lymphatic drainage, to reducethe sluggishness brought on by too many starchy, high fat foods and too littleexercise. Headache: Most headaches including sinusitis have acomponent of congestion that responds well to  lymphatic drainage.   Once tissueis decongested, blocked fluid and blood flow improve, reducing pain anddiscomfort. Promote healing: After surgery or injury, the tissuemay be swollen and sore. Lymphatic drainage is a gentle treatment that willhelp drain the tissue, reduce inflammation and improve healing. Pregnancy and after: There is often fluid retentionin pregnant women and lymphatic drainage can improve comfort especially in legsand feet.  Breast feeding will beenhanced by this treatment, especially when there are problems with blockedducts and sore tight breasts. Reduce swelling:

Rating from 5 Reviews Felt relaxed and well after my treatmentGuida, Dublin, 29 Jul 15

I suffered from depression for many years. He was approachable, explain everything that I asked and the session was very straight forward. I felt relaxed and well afterwards and It has had a great impact on my life. I find Mr Anders a very good professional, helpful, easygoing, and most of everything, human and honest. I attended at Mr Anders house. I was apprehensive but afterwards I thought it was as good as. The space is nice and relaxing and I was back for a next session which felt as good. I will be back to tackle my next rock.

What Is Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (Dr. Vodder)? It is a specialised therapy, which is designed to improve the functioning of the lymphatic system. This is primarily achieved through gentle, rhythmical circling movements of the skin, which stimulate the contractions of the lymphatic vessels. Techniques are performed with hands and fingers using a light-touch, which is simulating, gentle, through a wave-like movement. The subtle manual manoeuvres activate lymph and interstitial fluid circulation as well as stimulate the functioning of the immune and parasympathetic nervous systems. A well-functioning lymph system contributes to healthy body tissue and plays an important part in the body's immune system. Who Can Benefit From Manual Lymphatic Drainage? Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage is recommended for pregnant women to help relieve puffy hands and legs, for sports injures such as sprains, fractures, etc., to help with slimming or cleansing diets, for people who suffer from chronic nasal congestion and much more. What Happens In A Treatment? Following an initial consultation where the therapist checks the client’s health and checks for any contraindications, the client will be left to get undressed in private. During the treatment the client will lie on a massage table or plinth and will be fully covered by towels, with only the body part being worked on at the time remaining exposed.

Manual Lymph Drainage aims to redirect fluid from swollen areas to healthy lymphatic vessels, transporting it back to the normal circulatory system . With gentle, light but precise hand movements applied to the skin, the therapists exerts different intensities of pressure to increase the activity of normal lymphatic vessels. This encourages the fluid away from congested areas by bypassing ineffective or injured lymph vessels. The treatment is very gentle and a typical session will involve drainage of the neck, trunk, and the affected extremity (in that order), lasting approximately 40 to 60 minutes. The technique was pioneered by Doctor Emil Vodder in the 1930s

40 Minute treatment on a local area, 75 minutes for full body...  Lymph drainage is a light, slow, rhythmic massage, which follows the path of the lymphatic system of the body. It helps to eliminate toxins and is especially effective after a flu or virus when our immune system has been in overdrive.  If you suffer from sluggishness or puffiness esp in the ankles, Odema.   Sorry but we do NOT offer a Medical Drainage for patients with Lymphedema.

Was diagnosed with prostatisis bout year and a half ago,my consultant recommended physio and pilates as a way to help with the discomfort....could not find anyone who specialised in pelvic floor excercises until i found eimear she knew exactly how i was suffering and gave me a programme of excercises which helped me beyond anything before i had done.....between diet help which she helped with also and the excercises have been pain free for a couple of weeks Could not recommend this clinic enough from the minute i met eimear she was able to tell me exactly how and why i was having the pain, she talked me through every thing she was doing and why she was doing it....because i needed special help with a pelvic disorder to have someone who specialises in that treatment was a life changer, eimear is very professional in her approach and a very genuine person who actually cares if you get better she's not about get your money get a programme out the door gone....would highly reccomend her to family and friends if you want someone who will take the time to get to the root of the problem and actually care you wont find a better place
