Thai Massage €85  -  €105
Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient healing art which has its roots in the Indian Ayurvedic medicine system. This unique and highly relaxing massage is based on the concept of energy lines (Sen) running through the body and combines elements of acupressure, yoga, reflexology and ayurveda. The working of these Sen lines breaks blockages, stimulates the free flow of energy and helps to restore general well-being. I practise the Northern style of Traditional Thai Massage which is much gentler than the harder Southern or Bangkok style.Traditionally it is a long massage and duration ranges from two to three hours. The massage promotes the free flow of energy, gently stretches and lengthens muscles and slowly opens up tight joints - knees, ankles, wrists and especially hips and shoulders. It also stimulates the functioning of the internal organs, improves blood circulation, detoxifies and balances the hormonal and nervous systems. The massage will leave you feeling highly relaxed, rejuvenated and wonderfully stretched and loosened up.Regular Thai Massage will improve your flexibility and restore your general well-being. During the massage you lie on a mattress wearing loose clothing while I treat your whole body using a flowing sequence of applied pressure to the Sen lines and pressure points, stretches, yoga like postures and massage movements. I give the massage in a meditative mood and work with full awareness, mindfulness and concentration. I am using my bodyweight rather than strength and perform the treatment in rhythm with my breathing - the flowing sequence of movements resembling a "dance" between the giver and the receiver The massage promotes the free flow of energy, gently stretches and lengthens muscles and slowly opens up tight joints - knees, ankles, wrists and especially hips and shoulders. Healing Amulet Andrea Hümpfner Therapies

(01) 901 0176 ext: 47969 111 Baggot Street Dublin, Ireland, Dublin
Very focused on her patientsLaura, Ireland, 27 Oct 14

I have been going to Andrea for a range of treatments (massage, Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Thai, Swedish and dry massage) for several years and she is fantastic. I can suffer from skin inflammations (excema) and sinusitis every few months and whenever I go into Andrea for a treatment, my symptoms are alleviated significantly and a few days later, everything is a lot better. Andrea creates a very relaxing and meditative environment and you forget about all your stresses and worries for the duration of the treatment and this feeling lasts beyond the treatment as well. She is very focused on her patients and makes sure that she sits down with you before she begins, to talk to you about what is going on, where the tensions in your body are and exactly what you want from the treatment. She is excellent at what she does and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone. I have sent lots of friends and family along to Andrea and got a few vouchers from her last year as Christmas presents which were gratefully received by people! She is also a innovative business woman and has built her business from scratch on hard work and her reputation which I greatly respect. I would definitely encourage anyone to go to Andrea for holistic massage, healing and also for a great sports massage.

I had both acupuncture for back problems and massage both of which were excellent. I felt immediately better for the acupuncture and my immune system all went back up again after the treatment. The massage is a regular thing to help alleviate stress and my lower back ache that comes with the stress. I find the girls all professional, caring, pampering.. hot water bottles and all!

Tradition Thai Massage is and ancient form of therapeutic healing. Its roots are in India where it was brought to Thailand over 2000 years ago by Ayurvedic doctors and Buddhist monks. It combines pressure, energy balancing, stretching and applied yoga exercises. Traditional Thai Foot Massage is a unique and powerful therapy. Using thumbs, hands and a wooden acupressure tool, massage is applied to the legs and feet through rubbing, kneading, stretching and vibration techniques. Pressure points are areas along the “energy lines” which are called “Sen Lines” in Thailand. By focusing on these Sen Lines, we work on Reflex or pressure points on the feet which correspond to various internal organs, through which life, energy, Prana, chi, or Ki flows. It is believed that blockages within the flow will result in pain, illness or disease. By working along the Sen Lines with pressure and by stretching the lines, blocked energy can be released and functions balanced. Tradition Thai Foot Massage can be effective in the relief of various dysfunctions and disease; but it is also a wonderful treatment to promote overall health and to provide a general sense of wellbeing, energy and revival.

90 mins treatment Thai Yoga Massage Thai massage is a system of massage and manipulation developed in Thailand, and influenced by the traditional medicine systems of India, China, and Southeast Asia, as well as by Yoga. Practice The massage recipient changes into loose, comfortable clothes and lies on a mat or firm mattress on the floor. The receiver may be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, but deep static and rhythmic pressures form the core of the massage. The massage practitioner leans on the recipient's body using hands and usually straight forearms locked at the elbow to apply firm rhythmic pressure. The massage generally follows designated lines (Sen) in the body. Legs and feet of the giver can be used to fixate the body or limbs of the recipient. In other positions, hands fixate the body, while the feet do the massaging action.  A full Thai massage session typically lasts two hours or more, and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body; this may include pulling fingers, toes, ears, cracking the knuckles, walking on the recipient's back, and manipulating the recipients body into many different positions. There is a standard procedure and rhythm to the massage, which the practitioner will adjust to fit each individual client. Benefits Most of us know that massage feels good; but therapeutic massage, such as Thai traditional massage, also provides relief to a multitude of specific health concerns. Therapeutic massage is part of an integrative care approach to many medical conditions An important element of Eastern medicine is the concept of life force or energy. In Yogic terms, it is referred to as prana, in Chinese it is called chi, and in Thai it is called loom. All are referring to the basic principle of life force ener

It was completely pain-freeRachel, Ireland, 05 Feb 14

I had a Hollywood wax in Rituals this morning with Martyna and I would definitely recommend this salon. It was completely pain-free, there were no annoying stray hairs and the price in the salon is very good too, especially for students. The beauty therapist herself was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. I will definitely be going back soon.

I was very pleased with the treatment. It was a very tough massage, but exactly what I asked for and it undid a lot of knots. In future I would not plan anything for after the massage as I believe it would be a good idea to rest afterwards.
