Anastasios John Kanellopoulos, M.D.

Biography:
Dr. Kanellopoulos is an eye surgeon specializing in Cornea Transplantation, complicated Glaucoma, and Refractive surgery. His background includes Medical school training at Southern Illinois University, and Residency training at the State University of New York at Stony Brook / Nassau County Medical Center. He has sub-specialized in External Diseases, Cornea and Refractive surgery with Fellowship training at Cornell University Medical College and Harvard Medical School. He has sub-specialized in Glaucoma surgery with Fellowship training at Harvard Medical School.

Dr Ioanna Kontari

Biography:

Dr Kontari Ioanna is an eye surgeon with experience in refractive surgery, cataract surgery, glaucoma and medical retina.

Her medical degree was awarded from the Medical School of the University of Craiova and validated from the Medical School of the University of Patras. During her ophthalmology residency she worked as associate ophthalmologist at the "Ophthalmos" eye institute and the "Hygeia" Hospital.

Her scientific work includes among others numerous presentations in ophthalmology congresses in Greece and abroad in the subject of refractive surgery.

Dr Kontari Ioanna is working in private practice in Athens as an associate of Laservision Institute. She also instructed the subject of Hygiene in the School of Tourism Management. She has participated as an instructor at clinical and wetlab courses for modern cataract surgery and microincisional phaco and as coordinator of live surgery during ophthalmological congresses.

Dr Evangelos Tsichlis

Biography:

Dr. Evangelos Tsichlis is an eye surgeon specializing in intra ocular operations (vitreous and retina). After the completion of his studies he practiced at the Medical School of Aachen University.

In October 2001 Dr. Tsichlis was accepted by the Bielefeld Ophthalmology Clinic (Academic Hospital of Münster University), under the supervision of the world famous Professor Dr. (med. habil.) R.O.W. Burk, inventor of the Heidelberg Retina Tomograph (HRT), the basic instrument for Glaucoma diagnosis worldwide.

Concurrently with his specialization in ophthalmic surgery he conducted his PhD thesis at Heidelberg University. In 2005 and after the completion of his specialization he was awarded the title of Ophthalmology by the medical Association of the city of Münster.

By December 2005 he worked at Bielefeld Clinic, in which in November 2006 he undertook the position of the Deputy Director of the Ophthalmology Clinic.

In February 2007 he earned his PhD by the Heidelberg University.

Dr Tsichlis has performed more than 3000 intra ocular and more than 1500 Laser operations, all of which took place at Ophthalmic Clinics of German Universities.
