About Glencairn Dental Practice

The practice is situated in the Wirral peninsula. The practice is operated by David Speechley and Simon Wright. They attend to all items of NHS treatment. There are four dental surgeons, two dental technicians, one dental radiologist and a team of dental nurses. Cosmetic dentistry using crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures and root canals are preformed and implants are fitted by these skilled professionals. Emergencies are attended to at out of hours times and NHS fees apply for emergency treatment.

Biography:
Simon Wright joined the practice in July 2000 after completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at Liverpool University, and became a partner in Glencairn Dental Practice in 2003, having gained a Postgraduate Certificate of Clinical Teaching, and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in the same year. His special dental interest are endodontics (root filling) and implants having gained his diploma in Implant Dentistry from the University of Salford in 2009.
Voted best young dentist North West England, 2010, Simon is extremely enthusiastic about his profession, and dedicates great care and attention to his patients, as well as being actively involved in the shaping of health care delivery on the Wirral, sitting on a variety of committees. 

Dr David Speechley

Biography:
David Speechley became the principal of Glencairn Dental Practice in 1977. David graduated from Liverpool University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 1976, and in 2003 gained a diploma in Medical Informatics from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). Within the practice, Davids interest is implant dentistry, having gained his diploma in Implant Dentistry from the University of Salford in 2009.
