Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Dr McAndrew is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and an Associate Fellow. She is also a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland, a Registered European Psychologist, a Chartered Scientist with the British Science Council and is registered with the UK’s Health Professionals’ Council.
Dr McAndrew has over 17 years experience working with children, adolescents & adults providing psychological assessments & therapies in a range of psychological and emotional problems including depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, grief, eating disorders, pain management, PTSD, self-harm, sleep disorders, divorce issues, addictions, victims of abuse, dyslexia, learning disabilities, relationship problems, panic attacks, phobias, anger management, emotional, behavioural & attentional difficulties including Attention Deficit Disorders and developmental disorders including Autistic Spectrum.
She uses a combination of theories and techniques to meet the specific needs of her clients. These can include individual therapy, play therapy, couple therapy, family therapy, group therapy, functional behavioural analysis, behaviour modification, relaxation & meditation, and trauma relief methods.
In addition Dr McAndrew has had managerial and supervisory roles with psychologists and other mental health professionals at all levels, and has been a member of various multi-disciplinary teams over the course of her professional career.
