DHI-Direct Hair Implantation

I've visited a few different clinics, but none of them have given me as much information about androgenic alopecia and how to maintain, recover, and prevent it from growing worse.

Undoubtedly, I now understand more clearly what has to be treated and why, which is crucial. In simple terms, don't wait until it gets worse, go to DHI and get the appropriate treatment.

I was recommended to DHI from a friend and I have been thinking of getting a hair transplant procedure for many years. I started my DHI transplant journey with DHI from online watsapp consultation to physically going to the clinic.

From the go get of conversing on WhatsApp to arriving at the clinic , the nurses and consultants really put me at ease with thorough explanations and assurances. My experience with Dr Lim during the procedure has exceeded my own level of expectations and I really felt like the procedure was an experience much like a day at the spa. They really made sure I was comfortable throughout. I am grateful for that.

The aftercare was very well prepared, every queries and medications are already prepared and explained to you and the consultants are always at the ready to answer any concerns. I am at my 3 month mark and I am already seeing results. To me this is the best decision I have ever made , and I will definitely choose DHI again !

It won't take long before you're feeling like your normal self after your surgery; feel fine after a day or so, albeit with some soreness and numbness on my scalp. Find new growing hair at the base of the transplanted hair clearly visible for around 4 months.

On my very first visit for consultation, I was happy to see the PHI/DHI consultants (in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia) were all medical doctors/specialists & trichologist focused on dermatology specifically on the scalp and hair.

The consulting trichologist Michelle was thorough and explained well her findings from the visual scan of my scalp, soon immediately followed by the implant specialist himself into the discussion to see for himself.

There was no sales pitch or push. I only made up my mind after a week – and before that, Michelle was patient to answer more questions over the phone. DHI's concept of using my hair from the back of the head, and correctly implanted into bald patches in the crown & front – has scientific & biological merits, as the body is least likely to reject itself.

My procedure was 2 full days because I had to transplant a whole lot of hair (see photos). I made the option to be shaven bald to ease their work and a better spread of implants against existing roots.

The implant room was clinically hygienic & comfortable. The hair root extraction was done in the morning and the direct-injection implant in the afternoon. Local anaesthetics was expertly administered over several hundred points – and thankfully it was nearly painless. And thanks to that, the extraction and implantation were almost free of discomfort. Though there was Netflix for me to watch as they were doing the implant, I dozed off midstream. Good coffee and food were served for lunch too.

Mr Ajeesh the well travelled medical support was very experienced and he gave me practical advice on washing & tending to myself at home as the first 7 days post-op is important not to stress the fresh implants in the scalp. Soon by day 10 I was back on my evening jogs, and by day 14, I could brush my hand over the then bristling crown.


Day 1 was 1 Feb 2021 and the journey this far has seen me cut my hair every 6 weeks. Follow this review ..as I share more photos and experiences with you in the months to come

It was truly painless. Dr Fazley with Mr Ajesh assistance did the procedure from the beginning till the end. Downtime for me was only 2 days. Before and after the procedure, everything was explained in detail and after the procedure care is also excellent. They really show you the amount of hair extracted and to be transplanted. I truly appreciate their effort, transparency and dedication to their work. The clinic setting was also very comfortable.

Prior screening for the best hair implant clinic, I had no idea of what to expect. However, short research of DHI’s trademark technique has convinced me to proceed.

The implant treatment went smooth by the surgeon. I’m currently in the 2nd month and the progress is looking good! They even offered a hefty discount as a sales boost during the current pandemic situation.

Had the hair transplant two week sees ago. The hair transplant was a painless experience. Dr Fazley and Ajeesh were both really professional and skilful. Very attentive and concern with the growth with follow up sessions. I am very pleased with the results so far. But am waiting to see how it turns out in 2-3 months .. have a good feeling.

In January I had hair loss treatment at DHI. I’d heard this type of surgery could be quite risky, so I wanted the treatment to be as safe, and as long-lasting as possible. Everything was explained to me before I decided to go through with this and I was reassured that I could return for free if I wasn’t entirely satisfied.

The manager gave me a clear picture of the process and informed me there’d only been 1 patient who had to return. He also explained the circumstances surrounding the patient’s results. I had complete peace of mind before I booked.

I had the treatment in January and I’m still going for follow-ups now. The progress has been good and this is the exact clinic I’d been looking for. I’m glad I didn’t go for the cheaper options because I might have encountered problems there.
