Mr Armatage has over 20 years experience in reproductive medicine and surgery and achieves exceptional pregnancy rates for patients in his care. His clinic offers a rapid diagnostic assessment including outpatient tubal patency testing and semen analysis and a full range of assisted conception treatments including the provision of IUI, IVF andICSI, and egg and sperm donation both here in the UKand abroad using state of the art equipment and the latest techniques.
Mr. Armatage has a broad range of clinical interests in addition to the management of sub fertility in general gynaecology including recurrent miscarriage, early pregnancy problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, pelvic pain, menopause and menstrual dysfunction, ovarian cysts and ovarian screening. In addition, he has extensive experience in transvaginal ultrasound, laparoscopic surgery and endoscopic surgery. He is a renowned expert in hysteroscopic surgery for the removal of fibroids and for endometrial resection for the treatment of heavyperiods.
Patients are fully involved and included in the decision making process to ensure they feel confident, reassured and supported throughout their care. Mr James Armatage qualified from Liverpool UniversityMedical School in 1985 and was appointed as a consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Leighton Hospital in 1997. He was the Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for 5 years before becoming the Divisional Clinical Director for the Women’s, Children’s and Sexual Health Division from 2007 until 2010. He resigned from Leighton Hospital in November 2011 in order to provide the highest standard of individualised patient care as an independent practitioner.
