Since 1996 I have been practicing various forms of Complementary medicine. I am passionate in my belief that Acupuncture can and does bring fantastic results. I have opened Mei Zen Clinic's of Acupuncture in Castlebar Ballina and Ballinrobe Co Mayo in 2009. I'm registered with the which is  one of the  longest established and is the largest  regulatory body for the practice of acupuncture and Chinese medicine in Ireland. What is acupuncture? Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used systems of healing in the world. Originating in China some 3,500 years ago, only in the last three decades has it become popular in the United States Traditional Chinese medicine hold that there are as many as 2,000 acupuncture points on the human body, which are connected by 20 pathways (12 main, 8 secondary) called meridians. These meridians conduct energy, or qi (pronounced "chi"), between the surface of the body and its internal organs. Each point has a different effect on the qi that passes through it. Qi is believed to help regulate balance in the body. It is influenced by the opposing forces of yin and yang, which represent positive and negative energy and forces in the universe and human body. Acupuncture is believed to keep the balance between yin and yang, thus allowing for the normal flow of qi throughout the body and restoring health to the mind and body. Does it hurt? Unlike hypo

Lisa Morrissey Acupuncture

(01) 901 0176 ext: 67372Dublin Holistic Centre, 28 South William Street, Dublin, Dublin 2
"Highly recommend"Giovanni, Dublin, 09 Oct 13
"I went to Lisa to treat allergies, which in the past had started as hay fever and developed into skin rash when stressed. I was given steroids by a doctor which masked the effects until I stopped taking the steroids and never actually cured the condition. Then I found out about Lisa and had 6 sessions with her and she also made up a prescription for a herbal remedy which sorted out my hay fever and skin rash problems. I highly recommend Lisa and have recommended her to friends with muscle and joint problems and they have all had amazing results from her."
my name is Lisa Morrissey and I am a woman's health expert. I received my Bsc. degree in 1999 and since then went on to study in the holistic field of Acupuncture. I am blessed that this field is my passion and also my career. I specialise in fertility, IVF support, pregnancy, prebirth, post partum care and all female health matters from menstruation to peri-menopause and menopause. I incluce mindfulness, nutrition, exercise and Medicinal herbs into my treatments. This work brings me great joy on a daily basis.

"I would recommend the clinic"Denise, Ireland, 29 Aug 09
"Yes as have just got a positive pregnancy test. This is my fifth cycle third in your clinic was getting very stressed out. Felt overall communication a little poor. Met different nurses nearly every time. Often asked is this my first cycle. Also rarely spoke to doctor and when did found one quiet flipant. Maybe just be a personality difference. Never really felt anyone was in charge of my case just like you were on a convayor belt. Must say always found the nurses professional and kind. "

The term In vitro fertilisation, IVF, literally means fertilisation “in glass” and refers to the process where a woman’s eggs are fertilised outside of her body in the laboratory. The resulting embryos are then transferred back into the uterus a few days later. IVF is specifically recommended for women with absent, blocked or damaged fallopian tubes. It is also often used in cases of unexplained infertility, in some cases of male factor infertility and can be used in combination with ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) in cases of severe male factor infertility.

Athlone Acupuncture Clinic

6 Garden Vale, Athlone
"Excellent."eddie, Guernsey, 08 Sep 11
A multi-layered approach is used in the clinic to get the best results. Treatments include: Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Electro Acupuncture, Herbal Formulas, Nutritional Therapy and I also specialise in Infertility Treatment. Acupuncture has become one of the most popular and well established forms of complementary medicine. The World Health Organisation recognises Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. How does it work?Chinese Medicine recognises that our body’s physical health is intimately connected to the lifestyle we are living, as well as our psychological and emotional well-being.When the Qi (our body’s essential life force) becomes blocked or depleted due to causes such as an injury, stress, emotional issues or our diet and lifestyle, then an imbalance develops. This can manifest as pain, fatigue, poor immune function, digestive problems and emotional disturbances including stress and depression. Eventually if left un-treated, the imbalance will become more severe and illness ensues. Treatment aims to restore the body’s own natural in-built ability to heal itself, to remove the underlying causes of pain and disease and to restore a greater sense of relaxation and well-being to our life.  Jacqueline Feeley James Lic.Ac.TCM. Teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress ReductionI qualified to practise in 2005 with a Licentiate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at which point I travelled to China to continue my

"I received an email from the clinic and it was very helpful."Trisha, Ireland, 28 Jan 13
Fertility Check was established in Cork in 2012 to provide Irish men with a dedicated fertility testing service. A key feature of this service is to provide testing in a discrete, efficient and reassuring manner. Appointments can be booked online without the need to queue or wait. Fertility Check caters for men both at the early stages of investigation for infertility and also for those requiring more advanced comprehensive testing. Services range from a simple approximation of sperm count to in-depth analysis at a genetic level. The postal service allows vasectomy patients an easier alternative route of testing post-operation. We understand that the subject of fertility can be a very private and personal matter. We will do our best to help you find answers and solutions to issues related to your reproductive health.
