Fertility acupuncture – male & female, pregnancy, pain management, stress & anxiety, sports injury’s, digestive disorders, cardiovascular health, insomnia, gynecological issues, hormonal imbalance, IVF support, headaches & migraines, immunity, general well-being and much more… I specialise in women’s health especially fertility, gynecology & pregnancy. By enhancing your overall health, you improve the health of your reproductive system, customized diet and lifestyle plans lay the foundation for a healthy pregnancy. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, perfect health is understood to be a perfect balance of Yin & Yang, necessary but opposing natural forces. The underlying principle behind TCM is that Qi or vital energy flows through our body in pathways or channels known as meridians. Pain or illness occurs when this Qi or vital energy is blocked and is unable to flow freely within these meridians, signifying that the body is out of balance. Acupuncture & Naturopathy work to  and maintain the body’s natural balance by stimulating its own healing response. The aim is to treat the whole person, so it can be effective for a wide range of problems — physical, mental and emotional. I firmly believe in treating the ‘whole person’ by using a combination of natural healing techniques including nutrition, diet, lifestyle advice, flower remedies and tissue salts in conjunction with Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am a fully qualified Acupuncturist & Naturopath

"The best equipped fertility clinic"Anonymous, Dublin, 24 Mar 14
"I would recommend this clinic solely based on the fact that it is probably the best equipped fertility clinic in Ireland in terms of human resources, available options for clients and equipment. The nature of the type of work being done at SIMS means that clients are rather 'vulnerable' and emotions are fragile when they go for any treatments or procedures. Without doubt, the clinic has very qualified staff and are up to date in all their work. However, the clinic would be a better place if there was a little effort made to treat clients/patients in a warm manner. After all, the clinic is working with human beings with feelings and emotions. My husband and I have been there 6 times now for different investigative procedures and treatment. We have both found the staff - particularly the administration and support staff - very unfriendly and the atmosphere sterile and cold. There has been no attempt to make clients feel welcome or relaxed. The accounts and reception staff were particularly cold though we couldn't put a finger on it. One gets the impression that they are making a concerted effort to keep clients at a distance. Our entire experience was terrible but we had no better choice. I actually thought of writing to the media and getting them to do a story/article on the experiences of clients there."

"Great response, however i feel im going to stick with patches and chewing gum at the moment"Sinead, Ireland, 14 Feb 15
Since 1996 I have been practicing various forms of Complementary medicine. I am passionate in my belief that Acupuncture can and does bring fantastic results. I have opened Mei Zen Clinic's of Acupuncture in Castlebar Ballina and Ballinrobe Co Mayo in 2009. I'm registered with the which is  one of the  longest established and is the largest  regulatory body for the practice of acupuncture and Chinese medicine in Ireland. What is acupuncture? Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used systems of healing in the world. Originating in China some 3,500 years ago, only in the last three decades has it become popular in the United States Traditional Chinese medicine hold that there are as many as 2,000 acupuncture points on the human body, which are connected by 20 pathways (12 main, 8 secondary) called meridians. These meridians conduct energy, or qi (pronounced "chi"), between the surface of the body and its internal organs. Each point has a different effect on the qi that passes through it. Qi is believed to help regulate balance in the body. It is influenced by the opposing forces of yin and yang, which represent positive and negative energy and forces in the universe and human body. Acupuncture is believed to keep the balance between yin and yang, thus allowing for the normal flow of qi throughout the body and restoring health to the mind and body. Does it hurt? Unlike hypo

"Excellent."eddie, Guernsey, 08 Sep 11
"I was impressed with the prompt response."Carmel, Ireland, 10 Jul 12
A multi-layered approach is used in the clinic to get the best results. Treatments include: Acupuncture, Chinese Massage and Cupping Therapy, Moxibustion, Electro Acupuncture, Herbal Formulas, Nutritional Therapy and I also specialise in Infertility Treatment. Acupuncture has become one of the most popular and well established forms of complementary medicine. The World Health Organisation recognises Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. How does it work?Chinese Medicine recognises that our body’s physical health is intimately connected to the lifestyle we are living, as well as our psychological and emotional well-being.When the Qi (our body’s essential life force) becomes blocked or depleted due to causes such as an injury, stress, emotional issues or our diet and lifestyle, then an imbalance develops. This can manifest as pain, fatigue, poor immune function, digestive problems and emotional disturbances including stress and depression. Eventually if left un-treated, the imbalance will become more severe and illness ensues. Treatment aims to restore the body’s own natural in-built ability to heal itself, to remove the underlying causes of pain and disease and to restore a greater sense of relaxation and well-being to our life.  Jacqueline Feeley James Lic.Ac.TCM.
